Williams a target man I think too, was the other a keeper?

You use Peterborough as an example, yet they run their club by finding and selling these players, and while they provide short term success I agree, as soon as they are sold they have to start all overnight again. The money isn't reinvested in just player arrivals, they use it to run the whole club.
While I agree we need to look a thing non-league talent, it won't matter at all unless we keep hold of any gems we find, or reinvest the money we get from selling them? High under SISU it just won't happen
Do Peterborough have any debt? I'm guessing they have lower attendances than we do? Do you not believe in clubs being self sustainable?

I believe a few time Peterborough have gone close to going out of business, they are a small club I'd say but have the luck of a steady footballing owner run along side the assistance of Barry fry.
They have come up with a good model to run a stable football club that has enjoyed much success along the way albeit a yo yo club. More that what we've had anyway. Seen some exciting players come through there club and exciting football and made over £20 million along the way.
Why could we not do the same to boost our chances of being more sustainable? Surly its all about looking down every revenue avenue.

Because they do it and get applauded, we sell James Maddison and Callum Wilson and it is like they have just been to a fan's house and shit on their gran.
The Peterboro chairman was on talksport a few months back prior to their big cup game. He said they have to sell one or two top players a season to keep going, that's life in the division. They then pick up a few 'gems' from non league and try and make them the next assets to sell.

Imagine if we buy Jones in the summer then sell him in January for a few million profit?
He must be lying, it is only us that do this so SISU can pocket the money for laywers!
The reality of it all is were a league one club with limited revenue streams we've a academy that produces a few million every couple of seasons, yes we're selling our best assets but we're not in receipt of mega money tv deals and lucrative sponsorship deals. We're relying on a hardcore fan base to sustain the club and a few academy hopefuls.
This is our status, is not great but we're we are. So let's stretch to look down the leagues and find success to build from there also. In time we become more healthy, sustainable, and competitive through being that selling club.
Like the Phoenix we need to rebuild from the ground!

I'd be happy with that, self sustaining.
For example if we sold Chris Stokes for decent money then it would be good business.
I don't think most fans including local media would accept that though. People seem to just want millions pumped in over and over again.
Was it Malcom Christie from Nuneaton as well, Ben Foster from Racing Club Warwick
If you mean the west brom keeper? No he's not he's a Manchester united fan if I remember correctly, as I used to know his girlfriend.Malcolm Christie was from Nuneaton. Strachan didn't fancy him apparently. The story I heard was he turned up at a Nuneaton game with Mrs Strachan watched the first 10 minutes, got up and declaired that there was nothing him for him to see and left. Pub talk so could be a load of old tosh but that was what I was told.
Isn't Ben Foster a life long Cov fan also? Again Pub talk so could be a load of old tosh.
We haven't done that badly of late though, Stokes was a real find and Jones looks a good find also from what I've seen.
Did Nti play in the Worcester team that beat us? If he did, anyone remember anything about him? Seen Stefan Payne, models himself on Henry. If he's a quarter as good, he'd be a great signing.
