His brain is always working and he is always moving and alive to making dangerous runs. So far (until Carr arrived) we were playing a system that didn't suit his game. The last few matches he has stepped up and given he is 19 will very likely get a lot better.

It’s an unforgiving job being the lone striker with little support. Too often we expect someone to be a one man Gyokeres style battering ram, it’s a tough ask
I would think Lampard will pick Bassette on his energy alone, but don't be shocked if Thomas Asante gets good minutes. As he like Bassette work off the ball naturally. What will help both of them is the team will press higher therefore allowing those 2 the ability to close down without being isolated in the press.
Unfortunately a few may fall because that is not a natural thing for them to do. They will either learn or leave because high energy is key to how i imagine Lampard will demand we play with.
