It does sound like these people are seriously loaded and planning to invest a lot of money sharpish in players. But that doesn't mean they're willing to play silly games with SISU and throw money away at an unreasonable price. I don't really see what they're meant to have done wrong exactly at this point: some people have heard a bit of tittle tattle, and that's it. We don't exactly have Hoffman 3-page specials in the CT, do we? If anythings actually going on, it's not going on in public. Isn't that what people wanted?

When it comes to things like this, you can't have privacy AND open transparency-it's one or the other, and whilst most of us prefer the former for takeover talks, it's agony not knowing what the heck is happening. Are there any takeover talks at all? Ken hasn't mentioned them :thinking about:

I just hope that something is going on behind the scenes, because with the number of rats deserting the sinking SISU ship, and the recent propaganda by Ken, it certainly looks like something's afoot.

Agree nonleague if it is happening then it should be done in private with no media etc knowing (how most takeovers are done, if in fact something is happening)
That's why I put on another thread I will just wait and see what happens.

As a critic of Hoffmans tactics previously I have no issue with it being done off the radar. Would say that I don't see how Brody leaving the board would affect anything, he's still a shareholder. The whole board would change in the event of a takeover anyway. that, along with the classic troll line of "oh it might take a while longer" makes the whole post a bit fishy IMO.

Anyway, if Hoffman does take over I just want to know what the plan is. Not figures and players that will sign, just an idea of where our expectations should be so that we don't end up with the same fan disillusionment we have now.

I don't have expectations any more, just hopes. I hope that a takeover can happen in time to allow us to strengthen enough to have a chance of staying up. Nothing more. If we did stay up, I'd like to hope that we could then at least be competitive in our division, rather than "blown out of the water" by Barnsley. I'd maybe even go as far as accepting relegation if a takeover happens in the summer as long as we are building and have a fightin chance of getting out of L1. Although to even dream of a L1 promotion challenge seems an expectation too far! I'd take being a little more competitive and a halt to the decline, whatever division we're in, as long as SISU are gone.

Hmmm, that's a lot of ifs and buts...our future is about as firm as a blancmange in the ocean.

Thinking about it any owner is in a no win situation. Tell people you have invested x amount or want x league position and expectations are raised and your words thrown back at you months or years later. Say little and you're a secretive slimey organisation.

Best to let actions speak louder than words IMO.

It sounds sad, but all I want is to see us buying players that improve the squad. We did that at first under SISU, but previously and since Fox and Dann went the squad has been in stasis or slow decline.

How does not knowing, who, if anybody, is wanting to takeover, translate to sounding like these people are seriously loaded and planning to invest a lot of money sharpish in players?

Yes we need players but I would prefer a more calculated approach from any new owners. i would like them to gradually build a team and buy in all the best young tallent.
You only have to look down the road at our neighbours who have spent 10million + and god knows what on wages that throwing money at it doesn't always work.

You don't even believe yourself! Earlier in this very same thread you were saying it all sounds like a false alarm and looks like we'll have another few years of SISU?

And that's what I still believe. Try reading my posts again, this time properly maybe-I said they are rich, not stupid. I'm pretty sure that SISU will see them off by playing silly buggers with unreasonable demands.

Who are these mystery rich men then?

Don't have to put it on a public forum, just PM me, not going to put it on here if you tell me.

She could be a double, or even triple agent.

What I'd give for a woman who'd want to be a triple agent.

My wife is Russian, too, Otis. But I think you'll find that wives give false information because of gender, not nationality!!

True but I do believe we've got a better squad out of it, just hoping the very underwhelming Nigel Pearson can get it working as a team.

I don't understand why someone who is rich and probably want quick results would be looking at yourselves.
Surely there are other clubs with a new ground, that they own, or at least receive all the takings from and a similar fan base, that would be more willing to play ball than Sisu appear to be.
Do the new owners have a connection to the club or are they after the Ricoh?

Probably one of the reasons why we're taking it up the ass from sisu when our own fans are also bumming Leicester posts on our forum. Honestly, what kind of reception would a Millwall post get on a Hammers forum ? or a Liverpool fan on a Mancs forum ? Yet this guy thinks it's fun "to join the banter" and we thank him.

Some of us know Hackney from other forums, and he's more like a pet than a rival. He's a good guy really.

You also seem to have a fascination with anal sex, what's that all about?
