I agree 100%. I dont want wasps in Coventry. I think rugby is garbage. I just absolutely detest our owners for putting us in this position. They fucking disgust me. As for Wasps, they can go bust as far as I'm concerned. No one is coming out of this smelling of roses. But, at this precise time (as you’ve already said yourself) Wasps need to drop the indemnity.
That’s it.
Whether you believe SISU are 100% culpable for getting us here, or whether you apportion blame in multiple areas...it’s all largely irrelevant when we look at our common goal moving forward;
Getting the football club back in Coventry.
Er no that’s why I’m asking!
STATEMENT FROM ARENA COVENTRY LIMITED
13 MARCH 2013:
The Board of Arena Coventry Limited (ACL) announces that it has made an application to the High Court in London to request that it make an administration order against Coventry City Football Club (CCFC). The application relates to CCFC's failure to pay ACL £1.3m in rent that ACL is lawfully owed for CCFC's use of the Ricoh Arena.
The application to the High Court now means that:
At a date in the next few weeks, the High Court will consider CCFC's financial position, and whether it is fit to continue trading. If the High Court rules that this is not the case, CCFC will be placed into administration.
If the High Court determines that CCFC should be placed into administration, the High Court will then appoint an administrator to sell CCFC to a buyer that is able to restore financial stability to the Club.
It will provide for an interim period, pending the outcome of the hearing, during which other parties (including CCFC owner, Sisu) will be unable to wind-up or liquidate CCFC.
Why did the lease need to be broken for CCC to move Wasps in?Were wasps at the ricoh when we left for sixfields? Who broke the lease enabling them to move in?

Anyway I'm done with this .
Yes indeed and keep going round in circles. You’d actually think that some were actually sitting in on meetings between Sisu/Wasps and the council with their “facts”Nobody here has the answers to anybody’s questions, but let’s ask the same ones 200 more times!
Yeah, the agenda bollocks gets thrown around regularly. By Sisu lovers, Council sympathisers and trust cunts. This agenda talk is just complete bollocks. I have a different opinion. That's it. Fuck em if they dont like it.
They were trying when we had a lease. Why did the lease need to be broken for CCC to move Wasps in?
Ok, just no common sense then. What agenda is that then?
There is evidence to suggest multiple parties played a big part in fucking us over. But, like I said, it’s really a moot point at the moment.
We need, and should be entitled to, information regarding the indemnity. What it is...and if it’s the obstacle stopping negotiations.
That’s incumbent on Wasps and that’s why tougher verbiage and action from the Trust was needed. But yet again..they fell woefully short.
So Wasps continue to get an easy ride on the indemnity.
It's also negotiating in bad faith of course. None of this stops the fact that the indemnity is the obvious obstacle to be removed, but let's not kid ourselves that it was entirely surprising we ended up here. That was my point on the trust thread, and frostie put up a SISU statement as "proof"...... We really don't know the exact details of what the indemnity is
Anyhow, I think the indemnity is just bollocks anyway, and it's all about Wasps being pissed off that when the deal for us to return was about to be signed, they all found out, even Boddy, what SISU had done re the European Court.
No they haven’t even said that off the recordSo wasps keep saying that but off the record? It's pretty obvious why.

There really is no good reason why they couldn't still do a deal. Fit of pique, brinkmanship, call it what you like, but imho, it comes down to one organisation, not willing to give any quarter to the other. Eastwood must know his argument doesn't hold water, so the indemnity is surely a smokescreen to wasps bitter feelings towards SISU.
This could be too simple of course, but this is where the SBtrust could, and should, be focusing their energies.
I agree the statement is weak really, compared to what we would hope for, but for the trust, it's actually a big step forward... that probably will be as far as they go of course. Shame. If only we had grendel on the trust board... :emoji_zipper_mouth:
“As everyone is aware, we made it a pre-requisite of talks that the owners would stop pursuing proceedings around the ownership of the Ricoh Arena. We understood the owners shared that desire based on the letter it sent to us.
“Talks began in April and we entered those discussions in good faith. Since then we have been working to get that deal over the line and we did not halt discussions even when it emerged that the owners had filed a complaint to the European Commission as far back as February but not informed us of that.
“Despite significant progress being made in the discussions, we have unfortunately been unable to reach an agreement with the owners which, putting aside the complaint to the European Commission, would deliver the fundamental principle that there would be no further proceedings about the ownership of the Ricoh Arena"
That sounds like Wasps just didn't believe SISU's letter.

So is it fact that dave boddy didn’t know?the deal was about to be signed, boddy had a bottle of champers ready to celebrate when the EU issue came to light, and it all went to pot. Discussions continued? I’m sure they did, but I bet it wasn’t about signing a deal.
lets face it, few of us would trust a statement from any of the parties involved, including the one you quoted.

The only entity Gilbert could have found out from is the councilInteresting how Gilbert found it out when the council and Wasps didn't know and then unveiled it to the world just before a deal was going to be done...
The only entity Gilbert could have found out from is the council
Exactly.
So a deal is about to be done and then somebody just happened to tell Gilbert about it who tells the world. Wasps act like they didn't know about it before then and talks go to shit.
The council would have known so would they have not told Wasps?
Quite a big issue you would have thought playing at Ricoh or st Andrews? It wouldn't surprise me if he didn't. Realistically at the time it was nothing to do with the day to day runnings at CCFC so why would he have been informed?
Who is tynan scope again? Ccfc pr?To be fair we don't know. I've had a number of conversations with Tynan Scope about this and he claims Wasps definitely didn't know beforehand. We can only speculate how true that is.
Quite a big issue you would have thought playing at Ricoh or st Andrews?

Also Simon Gilbert could have found out from Eu contacts
Head of Commercial. I find it difficult to believe the CCC didn't know I think it's likely Gilbert find out through them.
Yep probably I think it’s a better relationship with dave boddy and Mark robins though but I don’t knowWell SISU didn't anticipate Wasps throwing the club out of the stadium did they? You're distorting the timeline - St. Andrews wasn't even under consideration then. I reiterate why would SISU consult Boddy in their legal proceedings when it didn't have anything to do with him at the time of them making the complaint. I think we know SISU well enough by know to guess that pretty much most CCFC staff are probably on a need to know basis.
It's even more difficult that they wouldn't have told Wasps.
Why would they then tell Gilbert just before a deal is about to be signed?
You'd be mad to trust any of them, really.the deal was about to be signed, boddy had a bottle of champers ready to celebrate when the EU issue came to light, and it all went to pot. Discussions continued? I’m sure they did, but I bet it wasn’t about signing a deal.
