Just scanning the fixtures for next season, to choose some nearby games to put on the calendar.... apart from Bristol and Wycombe, everything else is further than Birmingham (or Coventry!).
Ah well, means I'll end up going to the Midlands a few more times next season...

And Gillingham are in the south. Discounting Southend as it's the other side of London.

Oxford; Wimbledon.

Wimbledon?
MK Dons?
Oxford?
Pompey?
Southend?
Gillingham?
Ipswich?
Including us and the 2 you mentioned (Brizzle and Wycombe) that's 9 teams further south that Bham.
Add to that Peterbourough, Lincoln, Shrewsbury and Burton (teams no further north than the midlands) and that gives you 13. So more than half the league are based in the Midlands or fitter south. Completely poo pooing your "northern" league thing.
I'm not sure where you did geography fella, but if be having words if I were you

Yeah, but apart from all that, what have the Romans ever done for us?

Well, I did add Gillingham and Wycombe....
I decided against Southend (mk Dons, Ipswich, Oxford) as they are north of London...
Portsmouth - missed (though, apart from old age, because I'm on holiday when we are playing them!).

How do you close thread, when you've made a few mistakes....☺️

Lincoln is virtually as far north as parts of Yorkshire tbf, certainly an outpost and has never really been considered as the Midlands

I get where SSB's coming from as it's a pain in the arse to get anywhere from the South West. In league 2 we had Exeter, Yeovil, Cheltenham, FGR, Newport and Swindon not far away. When the fixtures came out this year I realised how few away games I would be going to that didn't need serious traveling.

If you started doing that, Nick, I would have no posts left.

No, I've never had to. I've driven from Aberdeen to Devon via Coventry before though if that helps.
Regardless, aside from where the OP has to start his journey, that's not what he stated. He said further north or south of Coventry (or Birmingham in our case). Everything is north if you live on the south coast, but that's not what the OP stated. He said it's an almost fully northern league. Which it isn't.

Off piste but I got on a train from Newquay yesterday. Going to change at Brum. Final destination??? Edinburgh! Over 10 hours!

Is there a point to this post, or do you think it's like Facebook, and will shortly be posting a pic of your breakfast?

Start with a Cornish Pasty and end up with a haggis?
