If you support wasps, can you really have an issue with sisu moving us elsewhere?
The efl can't demand a change of ownership.
Withdraw it on what grounds / basis? They can't and wouldn't, sadly. They can withdraw the golden share. I would guess the Wimbledon / MK Dons scenario is something they do not want repeated.
The threat of it might shift the log jam.
If they removed the golden share SISU would have them in court. They can withdraw the golden share. I would guess the Wimbledon / MK Dons scenario is something they do not want repeated.
At which point Coventry has no league club. They can withdraw the golden share.

Which rules? Been a fair bit about that in the thread.Failure to abide by the FL rules?
I think they are running scared of the inevitable legal action and all its negative publicity.
The share would be withdrawn from the club, the club would therefore no longer be a league club. Not if a consortium can offer a way forward.

The club holds the right to play in the league. Withdraw that right, the club is not in the league. One of the companies owned by SISU holds it.

It's that simple!
They aren't going to force ownership changes, it would open up all sorts of madness all over the leagueNo, the golden share can be transferred to another company, that company that is usually the operating company of the football club.
It can be transferred if the club is taken over. This is what happened with us. The club is now Otium Entertainment Group, trading as Coventry City Football Club, this is the football club. No, the golden share can be transferred to another company, that company that is usually the operating company of the football club.

The golden share is not a 'thing', it's a right to play in the league. Withdraw that, and the space in the league becomes vacant and is filled by the pyramid.
So if we weren't about, we might see Bromley in the league next season... or whoever finishes last but one staying up.
At which point, Coventry will not have a league club!Ok change of wording, if OEG can not offer a plan for CCFC to remain at the Ricoh strip them of the share and invite someone else to offer an alternative.

It won't, because it wouldn't happen. It would open up madness.Or it might go out as a warning to dubious owners.

Yes, but then it opens it up for stadium owners to do what they want..That is just your opinion. There is no precedence set, there is one for a club moving (Wimbledon- MK) over ground issues which scares me. Even the most fanatical club stalwarts on here would bulk at MK Sky Blues.

And batter them!If they removed the golden share SISU would have them in court.
I'd like to think (as an earlier poster stated) that if we were moved out of Coventry Wasps would get some bad press, sadly I think that's very unlikely to happen.
Yes, but then it opens it up for stadium owners to do what they want..
They can't just give the club to somebody else.
There is absolutely nowhere for our owners to go IMO, it's the Ricoh or die in our present form.
