It really depends what system he is going to play though I think. Cranie is an out and out defender where as Hussey gets down the wing and whips some crosses in.
Personally feel AB will play Hussey against Pompey but who knows we may have a better idea on our team after tommorow's game with WBA and about that if anyone is going tommorow and wants a natter about all things CCFC i will be there in Block 15 underneath the scoreboard, thought i'd put that out there maybe for a little skybluestalk get to gether so we can put faces to names, anyway let me know if you're intrested?
P.S I know i have been one to criticize a couple of our signings but how good is it that no-one has got the same 11 as the next person due to some good squad depth wich we have not had since relegation!
Hussey would have to be good to get in ahead of Crainie,if we are gonna play 2 holding (Clingan and Carsley) then maybe Hussey may get the vote, don't think weve seen enough of him to be sure yet though.Maybe Crainie will be good going forward with a bit more of a license to do it.
Id think that the starting 11 tommorow will be close to the one which starts against Pompey, but Boothroyd will want to keep a few guessing.Im looking forward to seeing Clingan and Carsley together, that has the potential to be the best midfield pairing in the league,i thnk that they will boss games.
I rate Cranie as our best defender, i would like to see him start at centre back but Wood and McPake look to have a solid partnership. I don't think you can rely on a right footed left back, unless we do play a wing back system so it will be interesting to see who starts against the albion tomorrow.
It'll be intresting to see if McPake can stay injury free for most of the season,he's a great defender and we need him to stay fit but scince he's been with us he has had problems with injury's.Some players seem to be injury prone throughout there careers,i just hope he isnt one of them.
