Ohhh, the thread titled oi kg82!! Sorry mate, well obviously in patong now. Started in India, went to japan and met my mate who was only out for a month so he wanted to get in quite a bit. So Tokyo for a week, South Korea then on to Thailand, down to Singapore and then Malaysia and he had to go then. I'm meeting someone else in KL but didn't want to stay there for 10 days so I came up to Phuket. Really random route and not at all cost effective but I was accommodating my mate while he was out! Been so fun so far. Still got Cambodia and Laos to do and finishing off in Oz for 2-3 weeks!
Also, a very random story from patong! So I'm here on my own, my first night was Saturday so I thought I'd find a bar to watch the footy. Not hard being on bangla street, so I chose one up near the end of the stretch, opposite end to the beach. As soon as I got in there I was approached by a ladyboy and we played a board game! After a couple hours and said ladyboy stroking my leg a few too many times I'm thinking please god, let me get out of this in one piece! Look across the bar and see 2 girls... One of the girls I knew from home! Unbelievable luck, even more so they were staying 40 mins outside patong, had only got there themselves that day too and out of the hundreds of bars to choose from on that street they chose that one!! Thank you lord for divine intervention!
Completely forgot about the Yorkshire! They do a mean Sunday dinner, although it ain't cheap!!!
Like TSB enjoy Cambodia and Laos. Both great places in their own right.
I loved Cambodia! Siem Reap is great and the temple of Angor Wat are something to behold! Sihnoukville's cool as well and plenty of people to get drunk with!! You have to do S-21 and the Killing Fields in Phnom Penh but be warned it is harrowing.
Depending on how long you are in Laos for, if you have a spare 2-3 days the trip to Phonsovanh and the Plain of Jars is well worth the journey!
