There are only a few friendly competitive games before the kick off so need to gel a bit and yet no sign of Turner? Was he not thought to be the one maybe being sold?
Not risking injury? Not on the subs bench either.
Yeah he said in his interview a week or so ago, that there was only a slight chance he would take part. He's only just recently joined back in full training.
Wasn't Deegan on the bench yesterday mate? I know he didn't get a game but it just seemed a bit strange if he's not fit to even be travelling with the squad. :thinking about:
Deegan was named a sub but was no where to be seen. Lets hope this was an error by the p.a man (whos pronounciation of Jutkiewicz was genius) and not that the warm up was too much for him and he got injured!

Oh Deegan was on the bench. I didn't realize. I think AT was wanting to see the youngster ability, considering he brought on Bigirimana & Conor Thomas, as he already knows what Deegan is capable of.

I chatted to McPake on twitter last week and said he's hoping to be "fully-fit" for the Leicester game, so like people have said the Nuneaton game is probably too soon.
I'd assume that Deegan, Turner and McPake are a few weeks behind the rest in terms of fitness. Deegan wasn't anywhere to be seen. Perhaps he pulled out shortly before the game?
I certainly wouldn't panic about Turner being sold. I really think it's be a huge gamble until he's proven his fitness again, let alone re-capture the form of his career. More important to me was that Sammy played, and with great energy. Didn't look like a bloke who was about to be sold. I'd say the SISU paranoia means we just jump on any story about players leaving and panic. Understandably given the things Clouting says about not being able to reject reasonable offers (for players...not offers for the club, sadly!).
I really hope I'm wrong about this but I'm worried for Turner's future.
He was only supposed to be out for a short period we were told, which I was surprised at tbh having said to my dad that it looked far more serious. However the diagnosis continually got worse (well probably not, but in terms of how it was broken to us).
If he is to be ready for the Leicester game then a solid pre-season is something all players bang on about so I would have expected him ready and being the eternal pessimist I wonder if he has since broken down somewhere. Even if he can return will he be the same player?
He looked awesome at the start of last season and if he is permanently damaged, when he was clearly in jured and trying to run through walls, AB must take some of the blame ala Bobby Gould with Lee Hurst.
