Just spent 20’mins chuckling through a SBA fanzine from 28/08/98 ready for a game against West Ham - hats off to you boys who wrote it you had a great sense of humour - it was just after we made 750 k on our most famous signing of Roberto Jarni - on the pitch we had just beat the rest of the world team (Chelsea) 2-1 and lost to van hooydonkey fan club (Forest )1-0 - there was a letter from Mrs Jarni to say why his boy wouldn’t be coming and as below a centre spread which made me laugh out loud ! Great memories
Yes, I miss those publications. The "westender" was my personal favourite though.
Were there any more from that era ? I think they were around even before the spion kop was rebuilt.

I remember Sky Blue Army, Twist & Shout, In Dublin’s Fair City...
in one fanzine was a cartoon.... titled something like “Mick Chant... everything he says is a football chant”.... which was pretty good.
I remember coming home with one as a teenager, and my mum expressing borrow that “shit on the Villa” was printed across the bottom of every page.... still got it in a folder somewhere...
