I think what he’s saying in regard to playing again this season is correct, I also think that most
A lot of things can change for the better in 3 months. What’s the difference between starting the current season again June/July and starting a new one August/September ?
It seems like they’ve planned on opening too much at once.Someone on the Coronavirus thread has just posted that Germany are seeing an increase In cases
since relaxing lockdown measures and apparently reconsidering their plans to relax further.
Not good ‘but not surprising.
YepWe're gonna get fucked over aren't we?
Completely agree. Everything that is being raised as an issue with restarting now could continue being an issue when next season is due to start. Pointless rushing to cancel this season not knowing what is happening weeks or month down the line. What’s the difference between starting the current season again June/July and starting a new one August/September ?
And they can because they are testing on a vast scale. Hopefully we’ll catch up soonSomeone on the Coronavirus thread has just posted that Germany are seeing an increase In cases

SISU will batter FIFA in courtWe're gonna get fucked over aren't we?
I've said this before; Use the Chilian alternative so no one can sue, just get more relegation places next season. So could end season now. I do not understand why this is'nt being considered.
Agreed, but when you look at other alternatives you seem on have either; But if the leagues now have more teams the TV/sponsorship money will be split more ways, taking down each clubs earnings from it for a year and if they've budgeted on that amount and have players on multi-year contracts based on that they could pursue it if they haven't agreed to it. Especially so in the PL where the money is huge. And I don't think they'd want to go upsetting the likes of Man C, Man U, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs etc.
I certainly don’t envy the decision makers involved, whichever route they choose to take, they can’t win. I guess on their side aim for damage limitation on the wider scale. Bad enough what happened to Bury this season (albeit different circumstances), would be a tragedy if this pandemic created more cases, especially when it comes to lower end/reputation teams that have battled their way into the football league without mass investment. I worry for teams like Forest Green for example. If Colchester have had to let top players go, I can only see it happening to the majority of teams in Leagues 1&2 at this rate.Agreed, but when you look at other alternatives you seem on have either;
1. Void season would lead to most court cases, just look at Holland.
2. PPG relegated clubs up in arms especially if current form was improving.
3. Play behind closed doors, be alternative if it could be done, but how to stol thousands of fans congregating outside of stadiums?
From the news this morning it looks like we are ramping things up massivelyAnd they can because they are testing on a vast scale. Hopefully we’ll catch up soon

We've had the lab capacity for huge numbers of tests for a while but the logistics of doing them and getting them to the labs has taken a while to sort out
Part of the problem was that we bought 3.5 million tests from China early on which couldn't be used as they were unreliable
Anyone working for companies buying things from China regularly knows that you can't leave anything on trust with that country, you always have to use independent quality controllers to monitor production and inspect and test goods before they leave the factory

Big businesses and western governments are to blameWhich makes you wonder why we and others bother getting things from there? Cheap consumer tat is fine but if you want something precise and accurate steer well clear.

Reducing costs was put ahead of all other considerations & we are now paying the price
Nothing will be the same in the future.
Chinese 'quality' has improved massively in the last couple of decades - that's why that country is by far the biggest manufacturing base on the planet.Which makes you wonder why we and others bother getting things from there? Didn't they send a rover to the far side of the moon ?Chinese 'quality' has improved massively in the last couple of decades - that's why that country is by far the biggest manufacturing base on the planet.
The world relies on China for its affordable components. I'm sure you're aware of all this, SBD.
No one can match them for 'value for money' - but of course there will always be a 'cost'.

And if you get into a dispute with a Chinese company and visit to try to resolve it you'll have a good chance of being arrestedThe 'quality' has improved, but it's still far from great. People get it from there predominantly because it's cheap, not for the quality.
Many reasons for that - cheap labour, not giving a fuck about IPR, state aid in some cases.
