We played the first game of the new Premiership season.
We beat Middlesboro 2-1 at Highfield Road
The flying postman, John Williams and probably out most underrated player of all time, winger David Smith got the goals.
Attendance?
12,681!
Puts the weekend attendance a little in perspective!
With a forward line of Quinn, Rosario, Gallacher & Ndlovu we should've finished a lot higher that we did that that season.
In fairness, the forward line was decimated by the March transfer deadline with Gallacher and Rosario sold (we were 4th in early March) and finished 15th.

What I remember of David Smith was him being mostly terrible.
I am also a fan of Gavin & Stacey. And I like Oasis too.jeez ... where do the years go?
I used to like Smithy, quality on his day.
Gallacher was a class act.
Smith was very good, I've got an old dvd of one of our seasons, where Smith was instrumental in virtually everything good we produced, people have short memories.
