Possibly, but all these open ltters from The Trust, various campaign groups and the like never achieve anything.

I just think they're all rubbish, some will think that some open letters are brilliant, and some are shite.

Another "don't look at us look at them!" bullshit Letter.

Whether you agree with the wasps move or not (I certainly do not) an inquiry will achieve nothing. If it proves something was untoward (let's be realistic it probably won't) then we will only end up with a few resignations and that's it. It's not worth it.

People go on about "attitude" and how going to see City, buying a ST, etc just excuses SISU and the damage they have done. All the "but what will it achieve" comments are just the same. CCC will get away with bringing in London Wasps and ensuring we will never own the Ricoh because a lot of people either ignore it because it's CCC and they are above reproach or they say but "what will it achieve".

A public body should be squeaky clean and open to all scrutiny.

I'd rather Les Reid used his journalistic skills to do some investigating tbh. He'd probably get more of a story than a public enquiry as we should be looking at the moral rather than legal angle, IMSHO.

Same as admin processes...

Is the fact that he isn't using his investigative journalistic skills and instead writing open letters a good indicator that there really isn't anything to investigate? I'm waiting for there's a smoking gun and heads will roll rumours to start circulating as they did when JR1 was on it's way.

Les Ried certainly swallowed Timmys we have met with Rugby council speech as it was central in his article about there being no home for CCFC in Cov.

You would have thought that with his award winning investigative journalist senses he would have sussed it out.

Don't think you can rely on him for anything other than "spicing up the dossier"

A reasonable set of questions that should be of interest to any supporter. To me there is enough doubt about the whole process to warrant a wide ranging enquiry. If everything has been done above board and in the best interests of the city then CCC have nothing to fear by such an enquiry taking place.

tbf he could actually be in the process...

But call me jaundiced, but I wish we had the Golden days of journalism. Nowadays it seems to be all FOI requests and campaigns, and no actual investigation.

Sometimes the dark arts have a certain use...

It's a bit tricky to investigate if the main player here, the Council, isn't answering any questions. The logic here seems to be that because the first judicial review failed the council can have done no wrong since then. Politely, that's not clear thinking in my opinion.

There are some very detailed questions there, to which I'd like to know the answers. There's no way that anyone can tell me all of the people on that list are SISU puppets.

As before if people don't want a enquiry because all that matters to them is that SISU lost, fair enough. Personally I think there's enough going on here, and enough public funds at risk to merit more than just a box-ticking exercise by an auditor.

The Ricoh was owned 50% each by CCC & Higgs Charity. Sisu had the option to buy it for seven long years.
Instead they tried to get it for the best part of nothing, even resorting to withholding legally owed rent and
moving the Club to the Cobblers.They also tried the law courts and failed dismally.

CCC had every right to rid themselves of a weight around their necks, and so did Higgs.

Sisu said they did not want the Ricoh and had their own plans for a new stadium LOL.

Unfortunate choice of new owners maybe but at least they played the game honestly.
