We had a keeper just before Glazier called Bob Wesson. He was similar to Burge, one game good, the next shambolic. I remember a match at Molinuex verses Wolves, the City fans weren't happy with his performances leading up to this game, but he turned in probably his best ever performance that day, he saved everything and they were battering us, but it ended 0-0 thanks to his heroics.
Bloody hell BBR! Bob Wesson! I'd forgotten all about him!We had a keeper just before Glazier called Bob Wesson. He was similar to Burge, one game good, the next shambolic. And how about Dave Meeson ?Bloody hell BBR! Bob Wesson! I'd forgotten all about him!
Us old 'uns will mostly favour the greats that we remember, and yes, my all time choice would be the fantastic Bill Glazier. Jim Blyth was okay, but I remember watching an international between England and Scotland. Blyth was the Scots keeper. I was really proud to see a city player on TV in an international match, but cringed when a defender rolled, yes rolled a back pass to him (you could back then), and he let it slip through his hands in into the goal! (I might try to find this on YouTube!)
I remember sealey being a bit of a nut job. The old boys in the upper west stand would give the team the slow hand clap and he would start shouting and giving the fingers. I thought he was a decent keeper. Schmeichel was good when we had him on loan but Oggy for me, always using his face to stop Ian Wright!!Anybody rated Sealey ? I used to clean his Windows when he was living near Ringwood Highway. He was a bit of a nutter on the pitch at times !
Bill Glazier without a doubt best I've seen. With Oggy retiring me and a mate on Sunday got talking about keepers. He said he never rated Oggy and I reckon Bill Glazier was the best between the sticks. I rated Jim Blyth highly too. So who do you rate as our best goalkeeper?
Think that was when he came back with Luton and done cartwheels on the pitch! Certainly a good character that we loved to hate when he left and didn’t he come back on loan or am I confusing that with Tim Flowers?I think Sealey spoiled things a bit with some of his antics for another club (may have even been Villa) when playing against us after he left?? Or did I dream that I heard that....
Wesson was no 2 to Glazier...We had a keeper just before Glazier called Bob Wesson. He was similar to Burge, one game good, the next shambolic. Blyth should be getting a far bigger mention. From memory he was on the verge of a move to Man Utd. (for a world record fee for a keeper) until he failed a medical. An outstanding keeper in arguably our greatest team.Jim Blyth - carried off the pitch on supporters shoulders (IIRC) after letting in 4! Saved a last minute penalty when we beat Norwich 5-4 many a Boxing Day ago!
Who was that Italian(?) bloke we had for a while, not Dimi, kind of tall and lanky (and hopeless, iirc!). Or this just my early onset dementia kicking back in? Nurse!
Morten Hyldegaard the Dane?

I think he had a bad injury ? Got him from Millwall?Bryan King, surely?
Well remembered, but not the one I was thinking of (or imagining, possibly). Think he had longish hair, name might have started with 'G'. Blimey, I'm hopeless.... sorry!
Not Rafael Nuzzo?
Alf Wood. I heard about him from my dad.Reg Matthews from my era, the first Coventry City player from the then 3rd Division to play for England ... on a par with Bill Glazier.
