Not all this again. No it isn't time to downsize. It's time we produced some decent football and start filling the stadium!!

Yep 100% agree
Too be fair not many teams did in those days could always get a ticket to any ground. A lot of them even had smaller grounds. We rarely managed to sell out HR in the too flight.

I think we should turn this around and say we have massive potential.
We had thousands lining the streets after we won the FA Cup in 87 theres potential because our team was a winner on that day unfortunately it was tooo short lived

I've been in Highfield Road in the third division among crowds of thirty thousand. And been watching us play Chelsea in a crowd of 18,000 in the first division. As I wrote earlier when the team is doing well the fans turn up regularly.
I like to use Southampton as an example. Look at where they were just a few years ago - League One - same as us. They had spent 27 continuous years in the top flight, just 7 less than us, then disaster strikes and they are relegated to the Championship. A while later, they end up in League One. Now look at them. They were flying high last season. They are a similar club to ours in terms of size, history etc. If they can do it, so can we. We now have a half decent manager in Mowbray, albiet as yet, totally untested by a full season with us, but I really feel we can do this. Come on City! We can do it!!

And were averaging 20k plus in league 1They had a £27 million wage budget in the championship and signed a player for over £1 million when in Division One.

We will see who hates the club when it comes to match threads and people going to matches etc and those who don't bother for various reasons. The first half a dozen posts in this thread began to fill me with some confidence. That this site is not dominated by small thinking depressive haters of their own city and club. However the usual suspects return.
