somebody at work said - why you moving to northampton, are you bankrupt
when i explained, that in fact it would cost us an extra £15m(rough guess) and then a further £30m to build a new stadium - he replied
surely you could get into the premier league with that sort of investment
And yes - hes right
with what we are losing over the next 3 years - we could become a championship team
The cost of the new stadium - a premier league team
Then SISU could walk away with the premier league money, and we would all be in a much better position
I think this shows that their intention of a new ground is complete bullshit

Well, that and SISU funding a Judicial Review of the £14m loan to ACL. If all they're bothered about is groundshare whilst they build anew; why waste money on an irrelevance?

We could blow £75m in 3 years including £15m per annum losses like Leicester have and still not be in the PL. We need to move away from boom for bust football.
I wish that was the case with the figures you've assumed. CCFC MUST OWN AT LEAST HALF (BUT PROBABLY ALL) OF THEIR OWN STADIUM & RECEIVE "ALL REVENUE STREAMS"!
It's called 'Funancial Fair Play' and a lot of Clubs are likely to have great difficulty compling during the coming season!
Sorry no simple answers to this very complex scenario IMHO!
Really wish there was, but ........
surely we don't have to go down the road of total sisu incompetence again,
but, then again, we have been owned by a hedge fund who know 'sfa' about football,
then again, i'm sure the FA are aware of all this
No accounting for the scabs but the vast majority of decent CCFC AND Coventry City people should (and will) have nothing to do with the SISU FC Northampton scum. This is not just a battle for a football club, this is a battle for our City and the future of football itself.
First they came for Wimbledon, but I did not speak out because I was not in the crazy gang.
Then they came for Leeds and too be honest we didn't give a shit - well it is Leeds.
But then they came for the mighty Sky Blues and some of us took it lying down but the majority got off their knees and fought, fought, fought.
Fight, fight wherever you may be we are the boys from Coventry .......

We will blow 100 million with this plan and be in league 2 with our own modular stadium and the new song line. 'if you want a stadium we got one for spare'
Given a choice if the two if I was SISU I would blow the money on players then flog the club when it was at its peak.

Super Furry Animals know quite a lot about football, actually. Robin Friday was on the cover of "The Man Don't Give A Fuck" (not sure whether it was about him or not), whilst the video for "Play It Cool" featured a miniaturised SFA playing Actua Soccer as players in the game, and beating Brazil as Wales
