Palace hope (1 Viewer)

One small glimmer of hope perhaps.

Everyone agrees that Peterborough are a poor side at the moment and on a poor run, so perhaps some encouragement can be gleaned from this.

'Jedinak took advantage of a fumble from Posh goalkeeper Paul Jones to firehome 14 minutes from time.

The goal was reward for an improved second half display after the visitorshad dominated the first 45 minutes.

Home keeper Julian Speroni twice denied Posh to keep the game goalless andallow his team to snatch the late win.

The visitors started the game well and Tyrone Barnett's strike from justoutside the area forced Speroni to tip over, before the Palace goalkeeper againmagnificently thwarted Barnett after the striker had cut through the defence.'

Dougie Freeman also admitted that Palace were a bit fortunate.

and also this .......

From Crystal Palace Mad.

'The away form of Crystal Palace is pretty dire, attaining just 3 draws from the previous six away games. Therefore 3 defeats, 3 draws. The Eagles have conceded 6 goals in these games

It's a very small glimmer otis, especially as we're the team that usually ends any other teams bad run....

I don't believe we do need 6 wins. That would give us 46 points in total.

I think it s going to be around 42/43 required.

just out of interest does anyone know what the lowest point total is and stayed up? 42 or 43 points does sound a bit low.

just cannot see us winning all our home games...... which means we need something away from home and we all know thats where the problem is in terms of getting points. Palace and Birmingham will be tough games and if we get 4 points from those two games I will be pleased - however I have a nagging doubt that we wont get that many. Palace would seem to be the more likely win of the two - but wouldnt bet my mortgage on it

43.

I checked back to 1992/93 and 43 would have been the lowest anyone has stayed up on.

Though no team in 4th from bottom has ever had 43 it has to be said. It has always been a number of points clear of 42 and the 3rd from bottom team.Usually around 46-50 points.

We need to attack them with pace and play at a quick tempo from the start not wait till we are 1 0 down with minutes to go I'd play Nimley and McDonald up front and also bring hussey back in at left back.

We have notoriously started slowly for a number of home games.

As you say, we need to come out of the blocks from the off tomorrow. We do that, then that in turn gets the crowd going.

I feel nervous about tomorrow precisely because it is winnable. Against Birmingham we have two chances, slim and none and slim rode out of town.

We can beat Brum.

We need to be at the top of our game though and them not at their best.

Our home form is good so I would hope we would win, as hat is what we need to keep doing at home. This is the more ''winnable'' game this week.

This is tougher than the Leeds game, so we really need to show some gumption on Saturday. The fans can play their part too obviously, by turning up and cheering the team on.

We can beat Brum.

We need to be at the top of our game though and them not at their best.

I am confident of a win against palace at home. We have decent home form and they arent the greatest team. My friend is a palace fan so i have been to see them a few times in the last year and other than Zaha, they dont have anyone that really stands out. They like us are quite low scorers other than when they smashed Watford so can see it being tight but i say we will snatch it 2-1:)

That'll do for me.

Can you imagine the feeling that moving out of the bottom 3 will bring? We have ben there since October.

Moving out of the bottom 3 could be a massive, massive confidence boost for the whole club and all Sky Blue supporters.
