Beat me to it. Newbon was an idiot.
George Best didn't die until 2005. He wasn't in the squad for the testimonial.

We definitely had a Alan Green play for us , not sure if it's the same fella though.Alan Green always seemed a bit snotty when discussing us (did he not play a season for us once - did he have a crap time of it, or was that a different bloke?). And that Posh berk Durham, we seem to have upset him a bit.
Dunno if he has a hatred of Cov in particular, I know when he first came to ATV he was given the speedway to cover which he didn't particularly like, perhaps that's got something to do with it? As a person I actually found him OK on the couple of occasions we used him for a corporate video. He was very obliging, chatty, professional, went out of his way to give the YTS kid a leg up...even stepped up to give out some prizes at an awards do without being asked. Perhaps we caught him in a good mood?

Didn't the Alan Green for us move to the US?Definitely not the same!
Didn't the Alan Green for us move to the US?
Think this is a job for BHSB ................Didn't the Alan Green for us move to the US?
Think this is a job for BHSB ................
Yes he did. The other Alan Green radio 5live another Jeremy Clarkson totally up himself, can't stand either.Think this is a job for BHSB ................
Agreed. There's some hostility from Walsall but I think that's more down to being a bigger club than them and us taking a lot of fans there - bit like us with VillaIn years gone by perhaps but now I fail to understand any ill feeling towards a club that has plummeted down the divisions and managed about two top half finishes in the process.
I remember Stuart Hall the commentator and for those old enough presenter of Its a Knockout, bad mouthing us in an article once, similar to the line 'What's the point of CCFC' and so one.
Was obviously so sad to see the wheels of justice catch up with the sick fucker and him do a stretch at Her Majesty's pleasure.
Also add many of the correspondents in the CT comments section. Almost as if they are poised for any bad news at CCFC, keyboard at the ready.
Isn't he Dead yet?I remember Stuart Hall the commentator and for those old enough presenter of Its a Knockout, bad mouthing us in an article once, similar to the line 'What's the point of CCFC' and so one.
One of my mate back in the day knew ian Wright , and he said that ian Wright told him that the coventry fans were horrible and at one end of highfield rd he didn't like playing towards
Fuck me that place is depressing. Same old shite from the same fuckers day in, day out. We get it, you don't go to games because of the owners.
Gilbert's made it so that all of my comments on there are moderated before they're shown on the forum anyway after constantly slagging off his shit excuse of a newspaper, so I no longer bother. Far better on here, at least there is a degree of intellect and the banter's good.
Birmingham Blues?I just came back from holiday on the Med. I got chatting to a guy wearing a Blues shirt. When he realised I was a Cov fan he shook my hand and spoke about how awful it was for us and how much he loved Highfield Road. So, not Blues fans.
Yes , I was going to do between 7 - 10 home games . i've seen enough already to spend my 1k on a nice holiday in the canaries , in our winter time . will do a few away games but , that's it . oh and save a £100 on those crap new shirts too .
Not a Zulu then?
after climbing through the disabled section !I remember the 2002 rumble - they got in the concourse of west terrace. It was ridiculous, fully grown blokes acting like complete muppets.
True that !after climbing through the disabled section !
he did play for Nuneaton in a friendly vsFew weeks ago there was a report in the ct about David busst and his testimonial and it said in the cut that George best was in the man Utd squad for that game , was he even still alive then?
he did play for Nuneaton in a friendly against us in about 83 , good old ct only a decade or so out.I knew when I read it it was a ct fuck up
People that talk up Wasps like they are some kind of inspirational role model...
i remember getting involved in a fracas in the west end against themYes. Many years ago, mid 80s I believe a load of Cov boys were in Whitley Bay in the North east, Portsmouth had been playing a north east side that weekend, so they also descended on the place. Long story short there was a big fight and one of Pompey's top boys got seriously hurt.
Since then on at least 2 occasions t, there has been a load of crowd trouble at Highfield Road with Portsmouth fans. It's all to do with the above.

Who won the piss contest?!!it ended up getting political between the club and the police regarding classification of the game and stuff like that. Some City supporters got caught up in the pissing contest and ended up going down for some fairly innocuous shit.
Not a Zulu then?
Tell that to Bromhead, Hooky and Chard.Zulu's have no problems with us
