Whatever happens this season, please can we never forget how so nearly close we were to the basement 5 months ago.
At this moment, with little over 20 minutes of the season remaining, 1 Crewe home goal could have sealed our fate.

The Football Gods were on our side that day so it wasn't to be. But let's remember that this is a season which could easily have been spent trying to recuperate from that most devastating of blows.
Now that potential blip is done with and behind us, onwards and upwards - we're a sleeping giant and soon we'll return to halcyon days with the Moroccans. I've had a bit of whiskey this afternoon but I'm feeling level-headed though this glass won't be half-empty any time soon. long may our surge continue. SKY BLUE SUPREMACY (and not of the Manc kind).
Good post, that would have been the end if we got relegated IMO. Crowds would be about 5k, which obviously wouldn't have been enough to sustain playing at the Ricoh

We would most definitely be playing with the likes of Finch and Thomas in midfield with George Thomas and Clive Platt re-signed to play every game up front. None of Reda, Ricketts, Armstrong, Muprhy,Kent, Vincelot, Lameiras would have signed for us and the likes of Fleck, Maddison and JOB sold on to cover our losses as the playing budget decreases even more. Also no Tony Mowbray either with us ending up with David Hockaday instead.
Football is all about narrow margins and my word these narrow margins can change a clubs future so drastically!
