We are near enough BOTTOM of League 1. We have no right to 'demand' any style of football at the moment other than 'stop fecking losing'. They can hoof it to high heaven all afternoon Saturday in a 4-4-2, 4-1-3-1-2, diamond, square or oblong as long as we do not lose!! Bothroyd was a quick to the front manager. At one point we were top 6. People's warped view then claimed Thorn was some kind of Brazillian renaissance but I never saw any good football...and, in fact, losing football is instantly unattractive. No plan B and no cut or pace. This year, especially under Shaw, we have not had enough possession or control in a game to judge a style! So, as Robins' said, pretty football is for the future. We need to stop losing, start scoring, start winning in any way, shape or form THEN look for players to adapt playing style if necessary. Most of all, supporters need to start supporting. I have been negative, I am as low as can be but what option is there!? Clean slate or bust. PUSB!!

Correct. Claiming we were playing attractive football when we were losing and having zero attempts at goal makes us look ridiculous. Fans are interested in one thing - winning. Show me a fan who would rather lose 3 - 4 (or 1-0 in our case) rather than scrape 3 points and I would say he is not a fan at all.

Id go for the second of those formations. 12 players on the park might just help.

On second thoughts ...

I know it was an absolute one off, but after first 15 mins v Brum there was some fight and nous. Must be something there somewhere.

You could say that about any team that 'giant kills' in a cup game. Complete one-off and should be written off

Looking through the 6x4, aspect ratio, square window of positivity:whistle::facepalm:

Ha, definitely. But honestly, I don't want to be a grumpy booer (at the end of games) driving for hours for a couple of hours of dread every other week. I just want to watch a competitive team and go with hope. Last two years have been motivated by the casino and tradition only.

It does suggest of the effort and application is right there is at least more in the squad than the last four, abysmal games have shown.

Giant killing games are one offs and not relevant. If we played Sutton Utd 100 times we'd have beaten them 95 times - we just turned up on one of the other 5 times!

Ok, first half v Bury.

Bury, the one side below us in the division?

I've not seen anything so far to suggest we are good enough to be in the top half of the table come May.

I am very nearly devoid of hope, but a thread still remains and I am clinging to it a little tighter after the appointment today. Here's hoping it all turns out nice in the end.
