Think we might find the elusive CB will be Aaron Martin back from Southampton as he has next to no chance of playing first team football for The Saints.
Let's not forget that it was Pressley who got him on loan at the back end of last season.
Coventry City boss Steven Pressley says he’ll pursue his transfer deadline target in the loan window.
The Sky Blues manager has his eye on a winger currently at a Championship club and was close to taking the player on a permanent deal on Monday night, just hours before the 11pm window closed.
But complications and the fact that time was running out meant the deal broke down, but Pressley revealed: “It could still surface as a loan deal.”
City, who can now sign up to five players after getting Kevin Malaga, Steven Jennings and Gary McSheffrey off their books , despite being in a transfer embargo, were hoping that the player would reach a compromise agreement with his club to make him a free agent.
“It had gone dead and then resurfaced a few hours before the window closed but we couldn’t move it on enough to make it happen,” he said.
“The terms changed and we couldn’t do it in time.
"It would have been too much of a rushed signing without doing the proper medical.”
We were linked with him before.. And he is at Wigan in the Championship.. Surplus as well most likely.. I'd of thought a few Championship clubs would have been for him though.
