Good to see that it's still a new stadium. Current events have demonstrated why we need control of our own ground, and previous statements have constantly mentioned a lack of interest in the Ricoh / CBS even if available.

So, given the New Stadium will have news shared as soon as they can, we can look forward. While looking forward, however, how pissed off must they be that somebody decides to feed the press with a story that the club might be for sale, as the CBS might also be available. That distracts from the important business of building our own ground, as it makes it look like it won't actually happen, will make investors in the project dubious, and might threaten its very existence.

So... the Club, the Owners, Whoever need to come forward and very strongly condemn that article, and promise to find out who fed it to the press. It's mischief making we can do without.

Only with that unequivocal condemnation can we get back to the important business of building our own ground, and focus on that project once more with the attention it deserves.

I don't think there is a cat in halls chance of a new stadium unless Warwick University is paying.

See! That's the problem with the newspaper article, stops people taking the project seriously. They really need to nip this in the bud - possibly the most important thing they need to do, else nobody will take it seriously again.

New Stadium:

The long-term New Stadium project is being led by the Owners, with staff at the Club concentrating on the day-to-day running of the Football Club. We know and understand that many of our supporters are keen for a further update regarding this, and the importance of this issue, and we will share news on this as soon as we can.

I did notice quite a few screens go up around the uni a few years ago, you know... ones they put around a horse at a racecourse.

Maybe the news will be that its built & can move in instantly!

Or they are euthanising any hope!

Not a cat in hells chance of a new stadium.

Realistically we can expect another long drawn out battle for the CBS Arena once Wasps finally go under.

SISU never wanted to buy a share in the Ricoh they had a seven year option on let alone build their own stadium. Either because they didn't have the money or real desire to do so; or a combination of both.

Plan A was a failed scheme Ransome sold to them. We are on about plan G now.

As a club we are a parked investment for them. They have nothing really to sell. They trickle money in and it trickles out. Not a success for them but no longer a disater I suspect?

Everything re stadiums is a buying time schedule; probably hoping the goose might deliver a golden egg and we sell a player for 30 million. They could then sell the club for peanuts and walk away.

They’ve not got a pot to piss in and not finding the club in any way possible so how do they expect to fund this?

Probably the only reason they released the wider statement…to remind everyone they have no interest in the CBS, it’s worth nothing and therefore if it’s available for sale don’t expect anything more than £1 offer for it (minus the new pitch costs) as it’s a white elephant without us playing in it

Yep
Ccfc and sisu have not said the club is for sale
Playing budget increased by 17% this season
Up to bottom 7 budget from bottom 4
Without investment it’s incremental improvement

They must be spitting feathers at that article...
