The notion that he will score lots of goals is flawed. He hasnt for a long time and performance wise is hugely inconsistent. Add to that he has to be on a reasonable wage this could you used for probably 2 League One players.
Who said he's going to score loads of goals? Isn't his record 1 in 4 or 1 in 5 since he came back? How is that not a decent return for a midfielder? And how do you know what wage he's on? I thought the idea of getting him back was because he was cheap.
Other posters have indicated he would be a regular scorer in the League. I do not see it as I cannot see any consistency in his game at all. No-one knows who gets paid what but he doubled his wages to go to Birmingham and it would be hard to see him not earning at least double a League One salary. He is not alone. Bell, Baker and especially Wood are big earners and the question has to be asked can we afford them and will they be value in League One?
I'd lay that all day long.

No chance

We don't create enough

Let's see what the odds on that are
Depends who is in charge. Huddersfield didn't need to sell Rhodes, Sheff Utd similar with Evans. If Cody scores 10 by Christmas we will probably sell him.
The year before Leicester went down they bought Matty Fryatt. He wasn't a success. The year they went down I think they had the best defence in the league, but again they didn't create much and that's what their downfall was in the end. The year they were down Fryatt scored a bucket full which obviously gave him confidence and he carried that form on the year after. That's why I also think Cody will do well in league 1 as he's shown he does know where the back of the net is.
Fryatt was already proven in League One with Walsall, he scored 15 in 37, and 13 in 25 in his two seasons in League One prior to signing for Leicester. At the moment our faith in Cody is based in 1 season in League Two.
Leicester all had 4 others that contributed a decent amount of goals that season too Oakley (8), Dyer (11), King (11), and Howard (15). They also had a lot more pace than us in Dyer and Fryatt
I think Cody will score a hat-full to be honest.
Ched Evans looked terrible at Championship level and scored over 30 goals this season. Roy O'Donovan scored 9 goals in 15 appearances for hartlepool in league one a couple of years ago,.
nimely on season long loan perhaps? its not like his record is stellar in championship, maybe man city will allow him to drop down a league
hes been unlcuky not score at least 5 for us,think he would do very very well in league one
He hasn't been unlucky, he never looked like scoring and one of the main reasons is he never showed any desire to get in the box.
I'd welcome him back, but he's still very raw.
It's no good being quick if you don't know what to do when you get there. A bit like Walcott of a few years ago, a speedy winger that couldn't cross to save his life.

But it does put defenders on the back foot and takes more of them out of the game. We are a hoplessly one paced side. Bell must be the worlds slowest wide player and McSheffrey and Bell are not a lot better, he does add a different dimension and probably would be more effective wide right.
