Noticed on Social media there were various players doing the rounds yesterday at supporters club meetings doing interviews and at signings in town.

Anything interesting said at them? Anything mentioned re. Robins?

Specifically told not to speak about Robins or new manager, for obvious reasons. Did touch on it slightly saying they had no idea until they turned up for training to be told. Robins had been in an hour before but had left before the players arrived.

Binks/Rudoni said it was a shock, but that's football and we get on with it. Thanks to Robins for bringing them into the club etc.

Rudoni said he was in contact with the club before the FA Cup Semi, so that gives a little insight into how early transfer talks start in the summer.

We went to the Rugby one with Josh Eccles and Jake Bidwell, similar to Edgy, got told no comments on Robins/New Manager etc.

Brian 'Harry' Roberts always a good speaker with some interesting questions, both players came across well.

Also good to see how many kids go and the see their 'idols', although my lad did say his favourite player Ellis Simms and not either of those two!

Oh and Benno has a new book out!

Says you'll never win anything without wingers and that whoever the new gaffer is, the fans need to get behind him.

Rudoni @ LWB

Never really played that role before. Wasn't talked about or trained towards. First thing he knew about it was when told he was going on. Prefers being a box to box 8 or a 10 infront of two 6s.
Robins tactical genius 🔥

Bit weird tbf. But he was actually very good there against Luton and Boro.
I thought I heard Robins or someone saying he'd played there in the past for Huddersfield.

What about the many great managers in history who play players in different roles ? Jack was fantastic against Luton and made a bad pass which is completely on him against derby

Why do you come out with this type of nonsense constantly ?
Rudoni was decent there yes, but the fact they didn’t work on anything in training or even speak about the possibility beforehand is pretty ridiculous. Says a lot about what’s been happening behind the scenes imo

It really doesn't actually

Jack rudoni has played on the left wing a dozen or so times for Huddersfield and Wimbledon.

Asking him to play wing back because we need his quality going forward whilst chasing a game is perfectly reasonable .

The fact it worked proves it was a good decision

He was great and got an assist

You get unbelievably defensive over this kind of thing.

It’s not hard to understand my point.

I don’t know sounds like it was a decision made in the moment by MR which went well then he tried to further justify it by saying he’d been thinking about it for a while.

So in summary

You don't think footballers play somewhere because a manager decided there and then to try it ?

It's very hard to understand your point because it's shite

Which is perfectly fine in football ? Not sure what your point is

It’s perfectly fine to make a decision in the moment. It’s not perfectly fine to then say you’d been thinking about it for a while when the player had no awareness of it as it’s suggests it may well be bollocks.

It's actually perfectly fine for a manager to say he'd been considering putting a player somewhere ? What a weird view
