I suspect the fairy tale indian summer of Ben Wilson is over.Collins 8 MOTM Hard to imagine that Wilson is a superior keeper on this showing
MVE 7 Feels like there is a lot more to come from him. Love the Klopp fist pumps at the end!
Thomas 7 Very assured, he is clearly capable at this level
Kitching 7 See above, I’m very glad he’s finally in the team
Bidwell 7 Did the usual Bidwell stuff
Eccles 8 Corners lol, but in all seriousness he’s probably one of the players of the season so far
Sheaf 7 Sloppy at times, supreme at others. Wonderful ball to spring Bidwell for the first goal
Allen 7 Quiet to start but his energy is such an asset
Sakamoto 7 Crossing not always great but so fun to watch when he takes on his fullback. He can clearly thrive in his natural position
Godden 7 Tough work against two very physical CBs but did well in the air and scored
Wright 6 Does everything right and then collapses…frustrating but he’s a boom and bust player
Subs N/A
If you think we’re in a battle for survival then I don’t know what to tell you
Yeah I think Wilson has delivered far more value than I ever would have expected him to, and has impressed me with how much he’s developed. He’s clearly a great guy to have around and strikes me as a really good backup option.I suspect the fairy tale indian summer of Ben Wilson is over.
The lovely story of the perpetual number two and all round good bloke who finally gets his chance, makes the play-off finals and wins golden gloves. Sitting in the dug out again I suspect he may know that is where he is going to be permanently as before and it will be a small test of his 'good blokeness' and his ability to suppress disappointment. Good luck to the man
But he will have a fantastic memory and if he plays his cards right could get 3-5 years more of good money with us or a lower tier club.
No more Ben foster podcasts!I suspect the fairy tale indian summer of Ben Wilson is over.

I have to admit I am one of the ones who think Wright is a poor all round player.
I was just wondering if there are any fans on here if given the opportunity to get all of our money back, would they turn down the opportunity of a sale in January.
He has a long way to go before he even comes close to representing good value for money.A few weeks back I’d have snapped your hands off. I’m actually starting to see a player in there that’s not a million miles off being worth the fee now TBH. I’d give him time, unless the rumours that he’s unsettled in the UK are true.

He does, but you can see green shoots for recovery. He has a long way to go before he even comes close to representing good value for money.
The guy hates Sheaf as much as some people hate Wright so it doesn't really matter what Sheaf does, he'll do what he can to ignore itI've not scored but both were immense imo yesterday.
Ben's stats:
5 tackles won ()
12/16 ground duels won ()
2/2 aerial duels won
5 interceptions
10 ball recoveries
1 chance created
1 goal
I've not got Eccles to compare, but yhe above is pretty solid and worthy of a top score.
