Burge - 0. A big fat zero for that moment of total stupidity.
Willis - 5
Martin - 5
Reda - 2 Abysmal. Error ridden throughout and he should never, ever have taken the penalty
Haynes - 6
JOB - 3. Abysmal. Think he did one good thing the entire game. His worst game for the club.
Finch - 6
Barton - 1. We have seen the best of Barton of late. Today we saw the worst. Drifted through the game on autopilot and never even got his shirt dirty.
Maddison - 8. MOTM by a country mil and then some
Jackson - 4.
Nouble - 5
Subs
Allsop - 6
McQuoid - 5
Tudgay - 2
In a nutshell, 2 of our best players (Reda and JOB were absolutely shocking), a couple of our players didn't even try to break sweat (Barton and Tudgay) and the rest just seemed rather clueless.
Think that is the first time I have ever remained seated for a City goal and merely gently applauded.
Worst of the worst today.
Burge ............. 1 wasn't particularly good even before he got sent
Allsop ............. 5 made some decent saves late on but we were already 2 down
Haynes ........... 5 made a few good runs
Johnson........... 4 worst I have seen him play ..should not have taken the penalty
Martyn.............. 5. Just average
Willis ..............5 didn't do much wrong ..subbed for tactical reasons.
Finch ........... 5 didn't do much wrong but did not do anything exemplary..
Maddison ... 7 seemed to be the only one fighting for the shirt
Barton..... ... 3 back to his lazy best
Obrien......... 4 lots of bad passes .. Huffed and puffed .. But a bad day
Jackson.....4 not much service .. But he seems to lack pace
Nouble ... 5 seemed to be having an off day .. Even before tactical substitution
Tudgay.. 4 didn't get long on the pitch ...but he's been useless all season
Mcquiod ..5 put his foot in a tried to create ... But with no end product..
At the end of the day we played all of the second half with ten men ... But the first half with eleven was the worst I have seen them play for a long time...
Roll on Wednesday .. You all owe the fans big style
If you had taken a complete neutral who knew little about football and told them.
A) 1 team are full time professionals and get paid 2-4k per week, and play in third tier of football league and train every day.
B) the other team are semi professionals, they have full time jobs, in offices, on building sites, on the road, and they get paid £100-300 per game, they train 2 times a week and play in the 6th tier of the football.
It's not too hard to guess who they'd have though were the football league professionals...

Thing is, you get giant killings. It happens. Will always be the case, butI don't think I have ever seen a giant killing where the final score could have been so much greater and a team dominate so much. They could have easily won 4 or 5-1 today.
I have never ever witnessed that. It's usually a bad day at the office for the bigger team, but today was just disgraceful.
Cba with rating the whole team, I will make a few points about today however.
Maddison looked very comfortable on the ball as if he'd been playing the game for years, not a left winger mind, really came into the game when deployed through the middle.
Thought Aaron Martin made umpteen interceptions and vital tackles, very pleased to have him back.
Willis isn't technically good enough to play at right back, need Phillips starting asap.
Reda needs to concentrate on his defensive duties, tried to play far too much football for some unknown reason.
Finch sadly looks like 'Conor Thomas Mark II', at the very least his was well out of his depth. Allowing Geddes (Formerly of Walsall) to run the game after the red card.
From a tactical point of view I have to commend Worcester, who came with a game plan and executed it to perfection (Although the RC helped).
Knowing that we like to play the ball out from the back and try to play the 'Coventry way' they pressed us ridiculously high up the pitch especially in the first half, with their fullbacks starting positions much advanced from their actual back line.
As a result we just couldn't start attacks and the ball kept going back to Burge, which admittedly didn't do great things for the lads mentality.
What stemmed from that was lots of aimless long balls, mainly in the direction of Jackson who obviously got dominated by former Stoke and Burnley CB Wayne Thomas, who along with Geddes was their best player.
This leads me to the games turning point. As bad a performance as people believe it was, up until the RC neither team was creating anything of note.
Burge does what he does (although not sure how it's a pen as the ball wasn't in play) and they score the pen. This is where Pressley made a key mistake in taking off the physical presence of Nouble leaving 5ft nothing Jackson as our lone striker. Perhaps his thinking was that on the break his pace would be key, but there was nothing to suggest we'd be able to string passes together to then feed Jackson through balls.
Pressley's second mistake was not screaming his Jock balls off when Reda picked the ball up for the pen, having seen his wayward shot five minutes earlier even my brother said 'Er why the fuck does Reda have the ball in his hands'. That was our chance to secure a replay.
Overall it was a very bad day at the office for the players and Pressley, saying that we could and arguably should have got something out of it second half with the chances we had.
Instead of looking too deeply into this, we should move on and concentrate on the league (And acquiring a new cm) as, let's be honest the fa cup means nothing to us and I couldn't care less if we don't get a day out at Arsenal in the 3rd round.
People on Twitter etc are making it out as the worst day in our history, in the grand scheme of things it's a nothing game in terms of our season, get over it, move on, done. (Although if those who hold that view keep banging on and get Pressley the sack, that would be one positive from today)
One more thing, where were Fleck and Madine?
Fleck was suspended for 5 yellows and Madine wasn't given permission to play.
I think everyone was perplexed by Nouble coming off and Johnson taking the penalty, you don't have to be a genius to work it out. 5,000 Cov fans knew both decisions were wrong.
Pressley out, ballot for the 5000 to see who replaces him tbh.

Maddison was by far our best player today. Big future for this lad.
I wasn't surprised nouble came off. Someone on the radio afterwards said it looked like he didn't want to be there, which I agree with.
Every player was poor yesterday with the exception of Maddison and to some extent Allsop.
But have to highlight Adam Barton. Absolutely shocking 'performance' from him and time for him to go after wasting his 3rd chance to prove himself with Pressley.
Just strolled around the pitch for most of the time he was there, don't think I actually saw him run one. There was a moment when a high ball was punted out from the Worcester keeper and dropped towards Barton, he had no opposition within 10/15 yards of him and instead of trying to control the ball he just let the ball drop onto his head and try and pass it off as a header. Problem was that the ball bounced off his head directly upwards, just laughable really. Just the fact that he had nobody anywhere near him.
Just the body language of him is all wrong, like he knows himself that he's not very good. I hate slagging off players on here but that was just abysmal.
Totally agree.
Never been a fan of his, but lately he had been playing well. Yesterday just reminded me why I don't rate the lad.
He was a disgrace to the shirt yesterday. Auto-piloted his way through the game as if on a training pitch and never even broke sweat.

I don't completely agree with this. His "style" is to be available for passes and to move the ball on. He isn't a tackler, we all know that. I lost count of the passes made to him yesterday that were a yard or two too far away that he couldn't get to.
Only once did I see a tackle on that he didn't try for, but I did see him make other tackles. He wasn't good, but he wasn't as bad as you and others make out.
JOB broke sweat, but was truly awful yesterday. If you prefer that then SP can pick me. I'd break sweat coming out the changing rooms and be just as useless. Once again Barton is a scapegoat when most of the team were worse than him.

I'm not talking about him tackling, I'm talking about him not going for a ball that was much nearer to him than to the opposition and him making no attempt whatsoever to even go for the ball. It wasn't even a tackling situation.
Likewise the passes he made to our team were awful, for someone who is meant to 'move the ball on' you would have thought playing a short pass on the ground would be quite easy, but they were nearly all knee or chest high making it more difficult to control the ball and move the flow on.
Most of the team were NOT worse than him.
