Burge and Hyam the only ones who can really come out of it with much credit along with Thomas for the first half. We need Sterling back as soon as possible.

Thomas had the beating of their players every time but we didn't use him.

Bayliss did a couple of fancy turns but ran himself into trouble too much.

We had the issue of the striker being way too isolated again, nobody near them. Nothing changed with the subs.

To be fair I like Grimmer (but he's not match fit), Hiwula is technically very good (but he never should be played out wide again) and JCH has been decent this season (just not on his game today)

Robins 5. It was obvious 30-40 minutes in that Hiwula and JCH were not at the races today and at least one change should have been made at half time. I personally felt that this type of game was shouting out for Kelly to be involved.

I thought there was little between the teams and one goal was always going to win it. Hyam was very negative on the ball which didn’t help. Grimmer got ripped. Hiwula was not in the game at all.

They were clear and deserved winners, I thought we were very poor in second half and a 2 or 3 nil defeat would have been a fair reflection.

I've not seen any of today's game but I'm givin Shipley a 1 for being out of the squad, 3s for most of the others but 2 for Brown's hair, 2 for Burge letting one in, 2 for Hyam because he's not Davies and 10 for Jono because everyone tells me he's great despite him looking pants everytime he plays.

Burge 7 - distribution was good and did everything expected of him
Grimmer 4 - probably match sharpness but was poor today
Hyam 6 - some good blocks
Willis 6 - similar to Hyam
Brown 5 - most their attacks especially first half were down his side and neither he nor Hiwula closed the man down at all. Had he had a decent delivery it would have been carnage
Thomas 7 - had the beating of his man every time, with Bayliss our biggest threat
Doyle 5 - some good passing and big periods of nothing
Bayliss 7 - thought he was our best player today despite some negative ratings of his second half. Did plenty of things above this level, drove forward, was positive throughout and a few good tackles
Hiwula 4 - defensively awful and overran things
Chaplin 5 - better second half when more involved but not in it enough
JCH 5 - isolated and blazed his main opportunity high and wide

Jones - N/A
Bakayoko - 6.5 gave his all in the short time he was on, attitude couldn’t be questioned today. Frustrated.
Ogogo - 6 had fight in him and looked to he involved as much as possible. Fairly positive sub display

Completely agree. Wasn’t close at all, they were much, much better than us. 1-0 flattered us.

Don't know why everyone was calling for Grimmer to be brought back in today.

Still work to do to get him up to match fitness.

Very much the same with Jodi Jones too.

definitely off the pace.
Struggled defensively and got into one good really forward position and made a complete hash of the pass into the box.

Probably because Thompson was so poor last week but just like it took Sterling time to adjust, after a number of weeks out it will take Grimmer a couple of games to get sharpness back. Even linger needed for Jones Andreu and the others who've had longer spells out. Unfortunately they're not given time and every game seems to take on huge importance.

Burton looked a decent team to me & deserved their win. We struggled to get in the game. Don't understand why Hiwula wasn't subbed. That's two league games on the trot that he has been particularly poor but has still played the full 90 minutes.
