Alright, here is our full squad below. Which of these spineless bunch of weak minded, inept footballers would you have on our books next season? Imagine you are Fisher (would say Venus but he's clearly fucked off)...

Out of all the ones I'd keep, maybe 6 would be good enough for our starting 11, and I'm not even sure all of them are good enough for League 2. That leaves a lot of holes.

Keep: Willis, Stokes, Rose, K Thomas, Beavon, Tudgay, Finch, G Thomas, DKE, Harries, Sevenson, Maycock
Undecided (and the rest of the kids): Burge, Turnbull, Clarke, Lameiras, Haynes, RCC

Maybe: Bigi

Leave: Ruben- he's shit, lightweight, and doesn;t even have a set position
Reid- One of our highest earners and he's done shit all, all season
Haynes- don't rate him personally, League 2 is about his level but we don't want to keep the dead wood we continually have.
Rose- did well for about 3 games, but not good enough at league one level and again don't want to be stuck with mediocre players
Gadzhev- No explanation needed
Tudgay- I like him but don't think he will want to stay- expect retirement, also tired of sticking up for him on here
Yak- haven't seen him play, but doubt he's got anything in him
Foley- from what i have seen he isn;t what we need- experience yes, but decent no not really.
All the loans can go back, only Reilly has done well and he is better than league 2.
One of the two keepers shoudl leave

Later 3 in keep section will almost definitely be sold in summer anyway.

Most of the keep section is just back up and the youngsters that have done well- have not included the youngsters with squad numbers that we haven't really seen.

would dump Burge and Lameiras as well.
Really thought Reuben was going to be a player but he just hasn't kicked on after showing early promise.

There's a couple more I'd get rid of as well if by some miracle we survive but I'm working on the premise we'll be playing in league 2 next year.

He has not been played in his best position since last season. He is the only one who can spot a pass in this current clusterfuck of a team (save Stevenson, who will no doubt be sold anyway). He is not a winger, which is where Slade puts him for 10 minutes thinking he can turn a game round.

Anyway, that is my opinion, many others may disagree, at the end of the day the thread is entitled 'Players that YOU would keep?' (sic)

Whoever we end up keeping we need to build a squad eventually... Many of the teams that do well in the lower leagues (particularly with a low budget) seem to have a nucleus of a squad that has played together for a while and is in the 23-27 age bracket. Based on our squad currently that would seem to suggest we should be building around 20-23 year old players:

RCC (22)
Willis (22)
Haynes (21)
Turnbull (22)
DKE (20)
Finch (20)
Lameiras (22)
Bigi (23)
K Thomas (21)
Burge (23)
Stokes (25)

We then are going to want to keep some of our teenage players around the first team: Jones, Harries, Stevenson, G. Thomas and the youth teamers

We've got Beavon (32) for another year and I'd want to add a few players in the 28-31 age bracket to add some experience through the spine of the team... not sure we have anyone in our squad currently that fits the bill! Nathan Clarke will be 34, Tudgay 35 and Yakubu 48 (ish) so we would need to bring in some seasoned campaigners from League Two in their late twenties... Ideally avoid more than one or two loanees

It's easy this management lark isn't it!

Few people suggesting keeping just one of Burge or RCC and getting another keeper in as first choice.

How would the one we kept develop and improve if they weren't playing? Wouldn't we have to keep both and send the one we want to be here long term our on loan to get game time?

Throw Bigi in and possibly turnbull and I'm with you.
I think Willis wants out so he prob won't be here and Stevenson also.
I think GThomas has shown some improvement in the last few games and KThomas hasn't had enough games to shine so I would like to see more of them before I dismiss them.
The rest...well who would want them? Can't see there being a queue.

I'm pretty sure the last time I saw him it had the CCFC logo on the front. Oh well, at least he doesn't have a bottle of screen wash in the dug out!

I assume as I'm the only one to mention Finch you mean me! I just said he was in the 20-23 age bracket I don't necessarily think he should be kept on. In League Two I'd definitely keep Haynes.

Obviously assuming no one hands in a transfer request and we get no offers (which is a stupid assumption):

Keep: DKE, Willis, Harries, Stokes, Haynes, Bigi, Stevenson, Jones, G Thomas, K Thomas, Beavon

Get rid: The rest

Sign: A 25-28 year old - GK, CB, DM, ST.
Either loan or pick up from Prem rejects/lower league: A couple of pacy, tricky wingers.

I'd give most of the kids a chance to prove themselves in L2 before getting rid TBH, I include Jones and Bigi in that, and I'd try Haynes as a LW. Beavon, Stevenson, Willis, Stokes are good enough but that probably means they'll be off.

I'm making the assumption Stevenson, Willis and harries will be gone in thr Summer, would keep all 3 is possible, the rest -
