On the news today a proposal has been put forward that if games are to be played behind closed doors, all players will have to wear masks during games. No it isn't a Monty Python Sketch but the authorities are serious. Will it happen ? Can't see it myself.

Im not sure they could, it would affect their breathing massively.

Besides, they can still catch it.

The wearing of masks - as stated above would not only incapacitate performance but it has a very minimal effect in preventing the catching of nasties.
