Haha, yeah remember that game. He was unbeatable. Signed him because of it and he was shit.Clayton Ince.
Agree about Cottee. His record against us must be insane.Tony Cottee
Stuart Ripley
And until last season, Jamie Paterson.
Cup winning season. We were immense at home. West Ham had a hangover season having finished 3rd in 86 and were flirting with relegation. Inevitably they tonked us 1-3 at Highfield Rd with Cottee getting a hatrick...Agree about Cottee. His record against us must be insane.
My second game!Cup winning season. We were immense at home. West Ham had a hangover season having finished 3rd in 86 and were flirting with relegation. Inevitably they tonked us 1-3 at Highfield Rd with Cottee getting a hatrick...

Spurs 1 Coventry 3. Didn’t play well, Coventry 0 Tottenham 4 brilliant. played well 50% of the timeJurgen Klinsmann
Scored against us for Gillingham, PNE and I want to say Wimbledon? Wasn’t exactly prolific otherwise if I remember right.Great shout!
Ah, only saw the 0-4. I, maybe incorrectly, think of it as the best individual performance against us that I’ve seen.Spurs 1 Coventry 3. Didn’t play well, Coventry 0 Tottenham 4 brilliant. played well 50% of the time
Tony bastard cottee bastardCup winning season. We were immense at home. West Ham had a hangover season having finished 3rd in 86 and were flirting with relegation. Inevitably they tonked us 1-3 at Highfield Rd with Cottee getting a hatrick...
Remember Sheringham playing against us for Colchester(?) at the Ricoh. Was definitely past it by then, got a red card late on for elbowing someone in the face IIRCShearer 17, Rush and Cottee 14, Yorke 12 and Cole 10 are the record scorers against us I think. Remembering reading a Jim Brown article on it. Seem to remember Sheringham and Mick Harford had both scored against us for 5 different clubs too.
