Playoffs not being shown on iFollow (1 Viewer)

For those of us who don't live in the UK...

I emailed iFollow support to ask if the video stream for the playoff games will be available for overseas subscribers and got this reply:

Commentary only will be available for these games, this is due to us not having broadcasting rights for these games.

Hopefully it'll be easy enough to find a stream elsewhere.

It makes no sense to block games on iFollow that are on Sky or BT when its supposed to be a service only for those who are overseas.

Having looked into this a bit more (I’m at home with a newborn so have a lot of spare time), if there’s anyone else here living in the US you can watch the playoffs on ESPN+ Stream Live Sports, which costs $5 a month but there’s a 7 day free trial, which covers both legs of the semis.

You can just buy a Sky go (I think that’s what it’s called) day pass for £5 same as ifollow if you want a guaranteed stream. Not sure if you’d need a vpn or anything.

Near Baltimore. Thankfully not that long a trip to get to any bar, but League Two football is not a particularly big draw in the US, and it’s 8 hours back to the UK.

Don't they show all of the playoff games in the US? also there are no premier league games until Sunday this weekend

ESPN have got the Championship, L1, and L2 rights, but since they launched ESPN+ you can only watch the matches online. All the bars round here just show what’s on the main sports channels on cable.

Yeah, I’ll probably do that.

I’m actually quite looking forward to watching a match with some commentary and audio that isn’t 5 seconds behind the action, will make a change from the usual iFollow experience.

Recent change to sky policy - you can now watch abroad, which seems to suggest that day passes should work as well (but would need further investigation):
