Simms has 4 in 35 games.Since the end of September Godden has 1 goal and 0 assists. What exactly is he offering?
He has that's undeniable but if you think watching the both of them recently Gods is more likely than Simms then I fear for your sanityHe's scored more goals this season literally
Simms hits the ball as clean as my cocker spaniel ffs , literally missed a sitter the other day tooHe has that's undeniable but if you think watching the both of them recently Gods is more likely than Simms then I fear for your sanity
The alternative to Simms is Godden…I’m on about Simms not Godden.
And offers far more outside of just goals.Simms has 4 in 35 games.
No bigger sitter than a penaltySimms hits the ball as clean as my cocker spaniel ffs , literally missed a sitter the other day too
It’s like comparing chalk and cheese. Completely different styles of players.Simms is young enough to improve and get better, Godden is on the decline and only getting worse.
Simms can match the defenders physically where as Godden can't.
Simms has been poor and there is still a time and place for Godden but it's a no brainer for me who should be getting the majority of the minutes
Is it.The alternative to Simms is Godden…
Other than Sunday and that was only a short appearance I haven't seen it. I think Simms so far has contributed very little apart from the goals. And offers far more outside of just goals.
He has scored 2 league goals in my eyes as the Swansea one was a shameless poach.Other than Sunday and that was only a short appearance I haven't seen it. I think Simms so far has contributed very little apart from the goals.
If he hadn't cost so much people wouldn't be obsessed with him playing.
He didn't travel yesterday.Hes travelled according to my bloke
Good news.... Unless your bloke told you he shared a lift down with Bajetic!Hes travelled according to my bloke
Returned the favour if you mean the header on the line?He has scored 2 league goals in my eyes as the Swansea one was a shameless poach.
Would be a big miss
The one that’s was already going in from wright that he toe poked against Swansea.Returned the favour if you mean the header on the line?
It is more that his presence means Wright can go on the left, and Simms does provide the long ball knock down option which Godden most definitely does not. Pragmatism reallyI think people are being overly positive about Simms contribution in games to be honest
The last one wasn’t his fault though was it, we appealed because it was so ridiculous. Norwich was for a reckless last man tackle.
Godden starting tonight
So Wright can start out wide? Why????
Why does that make any difference? Robins isn’t going to further punish a player for being sent off when he’s already been suspended for 2 games. If he leaves Binks in (which he might) then it’s not because he’s punishing Kitching.
The difference between the 2 players in this regard is so negligible per 90Simms does the dirty work such as handling opposition Centre backs, winning aerial duels, focal point at the start of attacks in the final third, drives forward well out wide, he has all the physical attributes, there are technical limitations to his game for sure but they can be coached in as he’s only just turned 23. I believe in MR and AV to coach the best out of him, besides I’d fully back him to have a storming season next year when he’s fully settled. He looked amazing in pre season and I think next year he’ll kick on
I think Simms is currently the slightly less bullshit option of the 2, I dunno if that's praiseThe difference between the 2 players in this regard is so negligible per 90 View attachment 34045. they both work hard , 1 gets praised, 1 gets slated
Either way this argument never stops
1 cost a small fortune the other not alot and scored history defining goals
Fingers crossed it’s not seriousYea he hasnt travelled
No Callum
Yea he hasnt travelled
No Callum
