Fuckin’ hell I assume you are isolated at home !Yes this has been done before in other threads .
Here are my calculations for League 1.
RK_CurrPos - Position as of now
RK_PPG_GD - Ranking based on applying Points Per Game and also predicted Goal Difference
RK_PPGha_GD - Ranking based on Points Per Game in home and away games and factor that in a teams remaining home and away games
RK_TD00 - Ranking based on making all remaining games set to a Nil - Nil Draw.
Also list predicted points total for those three ranking methods.
As it shows hardly any changes, apart from Wycombe who go third instead of Oxford on PPG but they are finish below Oxford in home and away factored in.
PPG is much fairer if based on home and away games in my view.
I also have this available for other Engish leagues plus a really obsure German league called Oberliga Niedersachsen. So if you want to know the impact on any of your favourite Oberliga Niedersachsen. teams such as FT Braunschweig ,Spelle-Venhaus or BW Tündern then let me know!

I’d be happy if they go up. One relegation place taken and 6points for us next yearFuckin’ hell I assume you are isolated at home !
If they go ppg it sure won’t be complicated simply as it says points per game average won’t matter if teams have played more at home than away. In our division it puts Wycombe third lucky for them if they decide to promote third place but in fairness to them they were flying until December then had a massive wobble round Christmas time but did recover a bit just before the season stopped.
The basic premise of that is that it changes nothing other than who plays who in the playoffs. I wonder how that translates to the championship and league two? If it’s the same then surely there’s a case to call the season based on current league positions. No relegation from league two to non league, no promotion from non league to league two, have the playoffs behind closed doors and have relegations as it stands between the championship and league one and league one and league two.Sorry if this been posted but I couldn’t see it.
If league was scrapped then table based on Points per game we’d still be fine... not Sunderland though
See the League One table if it came to being based on PPG (points per game) should the season get cancelled…
Coventry City – 1.970
Rotherham United – 1.771
↑ Wycombe Wanderers – 1.735
↓ Oxford United – 1.714
↓ Portsmouth – 1.714
↓ Fleetwood Town – 1.714
↓ Peterborough United – 1.685
↓ Sunderland – 1.638
Doncaster Rovers – 1.588
↑ Gillingham – 1.457
↓ Ipswich Town – 1.444
Burton Albion – 1.37
Blackpool – 1.285
Bristol Rovers – 1.285
↑ Shrewsbury Town – 1.205
↓ Lincoln City – 1.200
Accrington Stanley – 1.142
↑ Rochdale – 1.058
↓ MK Dons – 1.057
AFC Wimbledon – 1
Tranmere Rovers – 0.941
Southend – 0.542
Bolton Wanderers – 0.764
Bolton have taken an average 0.764 points per game – which is higher than Southend – but their 12-point deduction for going into administration would place them bottom.
Play offs scrapped and just autos for promotion-matched with same number for relegation.

On PPG, top 3 teams promoted, no relegations. More relegation spots the following season.
Personally I don’t see any difference between nullifying this season to prepare for the mysteriously distant next season - and just waiting and carrying on with 19/20. Either way, player contracts would be up in the air. Whatever happens will not please everybody. And none of us will physically be at a game for the rest of this year. Ipswich away is a very distant memory.
Yep, that is why I was wondering if having separate ppg for home and away would be fairer. But as has been pointed out with PPG Wycombe go up, even though they're outside the playoffs as it stands. Plus they have more away games than home and their away form is much worse.

They do have a game in hand though, if they’d beaten us then they’d have gone 3rd I think, it’s not like they’re miles away anyway. While we might be happy with any of the proposals to end the season with the exception of voiding it, it'd definitely be Wycombe who would be screaming for PPG to be used. 8th place on points, 3rd on PPG. I can see Oxford, Fleetwood and Peterborough appealing if they lose out on top 3 (assuming top 3 are promoted) and Wycombe arguing if any other solution is used.
It shows it’s not majorly unfair on others though as they have a game in hand on the others and going on about them jumping from 8th to 3rd and it being unfair makes it seems like they’re far behind the rest when in reality they’re not at all.Equally you could argue we'd have beaten them as we have loads in a row including 4-1 at their place not yio long ago whee they're fairly formidable and dont travel well. Would be harsh on others if they got 3rd. Hopefully we can all finish games and it becomes immaterial.
You are right like me and others on here have been saying you would have to do home and away seperate to be fair .Take Wycombe if you extend their PPG average at home over the full season they would get 51 points do the same with their away games 23points 74 in total.Do Oxford's in the same way 46 home 29 away 75 points.Yep, that is why I was wondering if having separate ppg for home and away would be fairer.
