Anyone go to his “big” televised fight. Utter mayhem with chairs being thrown and full scale punchup....Loads of Zulu’s came over to see him and he got beaten in minutes. Not sure if you lads have ever seen Bazs interview. Check out the Cov mention around 8 and a half minutes.
He was also the gaffer of the Beer engine pub where Legion lads used to drink when we were playing at Highfield road. He was always sound but everyone knew what he was about. He's from Coventry...used to do the doors in town.
I here the Roost wanted the Cov fans as they spend more then the Blues fans.In retrospect, it wasnt a good move. I said I'd pop my head in and see what the vibe was like. Apart from a few Blues lads getting lively early on, it was fine and in the end was 80% Cov and no issues so stayed. It didn't help that the police tweeted that all pubs around the ground were Blues only apart from the Roost, almost giving the green light for city fans to go there.
If I do go to the replay, won't go in, even if they say we're welcome which I doubt. It is their boozer, but if was a liberty going in there then you can't really blame city fans for going in to the only pub where we told we'd be welcome.
Blues fans were and are great it’s the bell ends like you of their support that caused problems. You at the replayNo blues showed you how they felt yesterday. There was plenty of love in shit going on on here on the build up to yesterday's game.

Correctwasn't that Ailio?
Clearly not doubting there was trouble, there's photo evidence there was, but also worth mentioning for I imagine the majority it was trouble free. We went to Digbrew beforehand with some Blues supporting mates. Had some good beers, good chat among fans about each others teams' seasons, walked to the ground together, split at Kingston Road and thoroughly enjoyed the match atmosphere. Walk back to Moor Street there was a few shady looking blokes but not much worse than I've seen at other games. Few Sky Blue with the odd chant which I thought was possibly pushing it a bit far, but saw no trouble, had a great day and hopefully the replay will be a similar experience.
I saw an angry old woman in the Birmingham pub we went in before the game because it was too busy, reckon I can get an exclusive?

5 days worth of live “on the scene” coverage nailed on
Is it any wonder why police escorted fans especially when someone dresses up like this for a football game

“Brum is a shit hole”Red rag to a bull that kind of mob, & it would have got around the pubs fast that Cov 'have a mob in town', which will always bring our divs out. It will always attract a similar looking mob.
95% of Blues fans don't mind Cov. We have many Cov mates due to the proximity of our cities, & large employers like JLR, which is still 50% Cov lads.
We started the bad blood I think, when we started the "You've got no home" chant. You responded with good humour. "Brum is a shithole" did get a reaction on the terraces, but I guarantee it was lads who ain't been coming to Stans regular. Our booing was a bit OTT I thought.
Any idea how many you lot are getting for the return? Reckon it'll be STH only. Maybe they should make it coach only and run you up the Cov road. It's ridiculous nowadays. There are avenues young lads can take if they want to prove themselves as hardmen. The real old boys were in the Main Stand exec boxes as usual.
Ours is logistically a horrible ground for away fans though I admit.
Yep I cringed when the crowd sang that“Brum is a shit hole”
wheres that twerp who told me it was “utter tosh” when I said this yesterday ???

I’m just saying I feel that’s what caused it @sapf0 has just pretty much backed that up @letsallsingtogether said it was “utter tosh”There was chanting from both sides, was abit of banter fucking hell lads

I’m just saying I feel may have caused the reaction for trouble after which is what the blues fan on here is saying, trouble before I’ve heard off a few people now the lad was mouthing off in the roostDo people really think it was all caused by singing Brum is a shit hole as a joke? Jesus christ.
How does that explain the trouble before the match?
There were groups of bellends from both teams out looking for trouble, it's as simple as that. The vast majority were fine.

I think the uniqueness of the situation on Saturday was always going have a slight edge to the game. It's a big shame some of the 'lads' came out to spoil the occasion but really there is no hatred or real rivalry from Blues fans towards us and vice versa. Hopefully everyone will have calmed down in time for the replay.
There was always potential for aggro Saturday plenty of Johnny concretes on both sides up for it, our time at STA so far has been okay largely peaceful and well received by the locals I just hope this doesn’t alter that for the rest of our time there. That walk to and from ground to Digbeth might become a bit dodgier.
We were rivals with Villa, a one rivalry as they don't care about us but never anything with Birmingham. It's a derby game due to location but ask any bluenose and there is no hatred towards us.Cov and Brum are massive rivals, its one of our closest local derbies
Not according to blues it wasn’t lolWas this your first football match?
It was light hearted "bants" between fans in the ground.
We won't be playing Birmingham every week?
Never, I didn’t realise that.We won't be playing Birmingham every week?
cant blame them for doing thatOnly potential trouble we saw was some trouble bent neanderthals stopping fans asking if they were the coventarian.
