I’m not at all convinced by either of the keepers MR has signed.I know part of football that makes it the game we love is that we are all entitled to our views. However, I think it's fair to say that some people know next to nothing about the physical attributes and skills required to be a high level professional footballer. Ponti is an example of this. There are many fans who rate him and want to give him an extended run in the team. I know he had a couple of injury concerns but he was not starting even when fit for the football league's lowest club at the time. I know he is local but he will never be a player of note for where CCFC are now or want to be.
Back to my wider point about our fan base rating poor players. Jack Grimmer is another.....a totally inept crosser of the ball and not great in the air, not quick and beaten for skill easily. He was fine as an under stugy to sterling but some fans felt he should have been first choice and retained. Doyle is another. This season L1 exposed him and while he was a good loyal servant. My point is that again a sizeable minority of fans were aghast he was dropped and I hope embarrassed as the player they rated as a starter in a league 1 play off chasing team was snapped up by one of the worst 2 football league clubs in England.
I am not getring at people and while i think we have some very knowladgeable fans many seem to be watching a different game to me. Anyway glad to see Robins with his signing and sales seems know what a decent player looks like (agogo aside).

Oh I see, They will suddenly get better when they pull a city shirt on will they?and neither should you be you've not seen either of them in a cov shirt yet you eejit

Time will tell I guess, and I hope I’m wrong.
It only took me 90 seconds to read, so I know more about words than you. That’s two minutes of my life I ain’t getting back...
Junior isn't much betterSorry what's the purpose of this thread apart from announcing to SBT that you apparently know more about football than the majority of CCFC fans?
Can't know that much about football if you think we signed a player called Agogo.

Their careers so far of course, proberbly a more reliable indicator than your crystal ball. And your basing this on?....
So you havnt seen them play much yourself?Their careers so far of course, proberbly a more reliable indicator than your crystal ball.
I’ve seen them both play, neither stood out.So you havnt seen them play much yourself?
Gazobla is off to the Samaritans
That's what Ponticelli has been told to do!We have an obsession with players who run around like headless chickens putting tackles in.

He is being sent on for the last 5-10 minutes of games to either try to win it for us in an impossible situation, or to see games out.
When was the last time he got 90 minutes?
Read what I said you dumb ass fuck!Crystal ball haha. Fuck me Mystic Meg, maybe give them a chance to play a game before you cast them off.

Stockdale is the obvious one, I’d of been more than happy with him, even if there was a fee involved, and his wages would of been high. But you have to invest to get good quality, and as I’ve mentioned in a previous post, a good keeper is a vital player.Ok then.
Who exactly were you hoping we sign? De Gea is in the last year of his contract.

It’s a lot of money for someone who can’t get a game. Money means more than ambition today.I think we all would of been happy with him but he’s on circa 20k a week, not a chance we could afford him.
I assume that was aimed at me? Nothing could be further from the truth and I hope your objective enough to consider if that comment says more about you or me.Opinions are like arseholes... everybody has one.
But you seem to think yours carries more weight than those of others; your superiority complex is showing mate.

The lad from wolves sounds promising (can’t recall his name at the mo)
He’s 3rd choice so wouldn’t be on too much.
To be honest, anyone would proberbly be better than what we’ve been used to,Will Norris...who has played 2 league games in the last 2 years.
As I alluded to in my first comment you can’t base your opinion on whether someone is going to be good or not on the back of their career so far.
Considering Doncaster got in the playoffs and marosi played 38 games he’s got to be a better option than wolves 3rd choice keeper who’s barely kicked a ball in 2 years.
