Hard to find positives when losing at home to non league but the last 20 minutes down to 10 men and 4-1 down I thought we were excellent and with a bit more luck we could have salvaged a replay at least.
In a strange way it was an enthralling edge of your seat match, but for me it shows play your best available team from the start especially in cup-ties. Respect the competition the FA Cup is still the best club cup competition in the world always has shocks and surprises and for some reason often in the third round. Look at Newcastle, my favourites to win the cup this season, Howe made eight changes and are now dumped out the cup to a third division side some wounded hearts today in Toon land.
Another positive it proved to our might be owner who I think was at the match the promise of funds to enhance our squad is essential.

Was such an odd game. They only hurt us with long throws, our defence should be in Monday for double sessions after that showing. It was only a few players having poor a game that cost us there.

God knows what's up with Moore, head has totally gone. Dabo looks a shadow of himself and poor old Kelly is miles off the pace. I can see Waghorn grafts and his lay off to Sheaf was good but he really isn't offering enough threat.

Not that arsed about the result. A cup run would have been nice but out squad is so thin atleast there will be less games.

Rightly so this defeat should hurt anybody who supports the club. But if you take your blinkers off we win that game 19 times out of 20 .

The sun shone on a dogs arse yesterday.

Our defending was horrendous..they deserved their luck.

18k crowd with 14k home fans for a game like that was a positive. A very respectable crowd. Shows that cheaper tickets can attract people. I bet there were quite a few yesterday who aren't regulars who went.

Thousands of Wrexham fans were in the ground at 3:30pm. I'm sure a bit of money was made on the beers they drunk.

Did similar when we were on our big slide down the league. Got to a point where I just had too much other shit to worry about.

Obviously still want us to win and enjoyed the successes but don't really miss having a bad Saturday afternoon ruin the rest of my weekend and have me still in a bad mood on Monday.

Can sort of understand people’s enjoyment of the game. If I was sat watching [insert championship club] v Wrexham and it was going the same way, I’d have been having a great time. It’s just not so fun when you’re on the receiving, embarrassing end of it.

I usually try to stay off this forum and social media after a bad defeat, but got sucked in when I saw we were trending on twitter. Ruined my day that.

One of those nights where I couldn't sleep. Just kept playing out the imaginary scenes where Gyok levelled it rather than hit the post and we went on to win it.

For me, the biggest positive was knowing that our new owner (subject to FL approval that's taking way too long) has seen first hand just how threadbare our squad is, and how our "fringe" players are in no way good enough to make the step up.

There's around 9 or 10 players In the first team squad that need to be gone, some (thankfully) will be out of contract, while others will need "managing" out of the building. It's not going to be easy, but it has to be done.

We shouldn't be in a situation where we have 3 loans in a starting 11, which is going to be the case once the new RWB makes his debut.

And our U23 squad hasn't really fed enough quality into the first team, (no keeper, no AMF, no WB, no CH, no Strikers coming through, to speak of)

Also, while we've had some successful signings, we've also had some very bad ones as well, this is inevitable when you don't have a pot to piss in, and have to gamble, but I feel a little more due diligence should be done before pulling the trigger.

If we'd of won comfortably yesterday, the problems would of been glossed over, at least now we can all be honest and know there's a lot of work ahead if we are to become genuine play off contenders.

It's bizarre. I just finished watching the game I'd recorded on S4C and Palmer was out best player by far.

Although annoyed, Wrexham are probably an upper League 2 side in terms of quality,. We weren’t playing Maidstone Utd. Robins made several changes to his first 11, and I think the meltdown is a-bit OTT. Yes Moore and Kelly were poor, and Dabo is clearly out of sorts. I thought Tavares looked OK actually and was beginning to click into gear before his injury. We had 10 men and should have won the game in all honesty.

Only positive I recall was Palmer's free kick, not many keepers save that. Outside of that, any other good showings by the few players are expected when you're playing for a club leagues above. Guess it just shows that our bench players are of a standard leagues below and that any of our league starters playing amongst them lowered their level to that standard also.

I thought it was a positive that Robins put Gyok on when Tavares had to go off. He could have chosen to rest/protect him and change the formation, but he went for it. Also the cavalry coming on was a sign he wanted to go for it rather than rolling over.
Gyok and Palmer were really good together - Gyok not always getting the ball, but his running off the ball took 2 or 3 defenders with him, leaving the gaps that opened up, particularly for the Sheaf goal. That lay-off was probably the only good thing Waghorn did all night (did he mean to??) - he needs to be gone, especially if he is on the wages people seem to think he is. Moore can go with him - clueless!
Palmer was great and very unlucky not to have more goals. What a free kick that was!

Could just be my lingering frustration at being dumped out of the cup by part timers, but it’s times like these that I wonder why I still love the club so much.

The anxiety over the takeover, the onfield issues, our fragility as a club in general. Probably going to lose the players holding the team together, either in this window or the summer, unless there IS a takeover and there’s significant investment in a squad that is wafer thin and falling apart at the seams.
We, as fans, deserve better than this; we deserve concrete answers and transparency, not the usual cloak and dagger bullshit that gets dragged out until the point where nothing happens.

We deserve a team that’s capable of pushing for a spot back in the big time, where we belong.

It's been two and a bit weeks since the WBA home game, when all the talk afterwards was about a promotion push. It'll get better eventually.

Think this match has to be put into perspective. Probably our best ever team full of top quality players who had won the cup were knocked out by non-league Sutton Utd. Not many of our current squad would get into a top league team, or that City team. These sort of results happen because no matter how much managers try to instill the right mentality, there is an over-confidence that we are so much better than the players in front of us. We did it the other way around with Man U and Stoke and we were doing it at Southampton last year until they brought on their big hitters. We hit the post three times, had a couple of unfortunate bounces in their area and missed a couple of good chances. It was written in the stars. Good luck to Wrexham.
Feel it will get worse before it gets better, as Panzo is out and think Bidwell is too at Burnley who are on a roll.
