will Cleaning prefetch will it improve my pc performance.

I have found this:

Empty Prefetch on your system

Also have you done the following:

Disk Defrag
Disk Cleanup
Spyware Scan
Virus Scan

3rd Party cleanup (I use a program called Window Washer and it does get rid of some files and speed it up)

Disk Defrag done once a month and when not online better that way
Disk Cleanup once aweek
Spyware Scan every day
Virus Scan is on auto and scan once anight


just did the prefetch looks alot faster as well

Christ, that is a lot of scanning going on!

I only ever seem to do mine every so often but I must admit I have never heard of the prefetch thing.

you never know what you pick up when downloading i use bitlord and limewire pro so im just makeing sure my pc going to be ok,

about the prefetch i seen it someware on-line,but my pc running a lot faster after i did it,

start then click run then type prefetch then get rid of the files in that folder sorted :lol:

I have just done that as well

I would recommend a program called "Window Washer" which basically deletes all of the temporary files on your PC, the internet history, clears the cache and basically gets all the stuff from niggly places you never knew you had

i changed my reboot time as well that was fun not recomended if you dont have a spare pc with windows xp on it :lol:

so is you pc running faster now,,,,
