PREMIER LEAGUE - Best in Europe ??? (1 Viewer)

Lot of criticism of our Premier League of late favouring the Spanish league and particularly Barca and Real Madrid as two wonderful teams to watch !!!

But look closely at their style of play - pitter patter football, a million passes backwards and sidewards, congestion in midfield - occasional brilliance I admit - but over 90 minutes pretty boring at times.

Compare the Prem; end to end waves of attacks, freeflowing football. goalmouth action, shots pinging from everywhere, 100 mph pace and control.

Look at todays game Stoke v Spurs, endless entertainment - could have gone either way - goal line clearances, woodwork intervening - spectacular shooting: I could go on.

Let's not knock what is surely one of our valuable assets - watchable, crazy, entertaining football that is the Premier League in all its glory.

la liga will always be the best league, the two biggest teams in the world says it all really, add the fact that the national team dominate world football and there is no arguement

I honest thought some of the passes and first touches by the real and barca players was dreadful at times.
Yes it was against stiff opposition but there was endless passes not making the team mate.
A team like stoke today, they can beat anyone, due to there threat in the air and physical aspect of their game.

Can't stand la liga- the love in with Barca irritates me as well.

They wouldn't be able to handle teams like Stoke either, Barca and Real have it way too easy in that league.

In La Liga, Barca and Real Madrid get 10 times as much TV money as newly promoted sides such as Granada or Rayo Vallecano.

This is why it will turn into a two horse race every year. Prem or even Serie A for me.
