I really don't understand how VAR didn't give the pen for the push from Alexander-Arnold.

Ivan Toney had a bet on Ivan Toney.I had £20 on Callum Wilson at 6/1 before the start of the season, it’s going to be a toss up between him and Toney so hopefully it goes my way
Looks like Hassenhutl may have [finally] been sacked.
They look like a side sleepwalking to relegation
Relegation in general looks difficult to call this season. Wolves look in the biggest trouble for me, but the rest is up for grabs.
Think Lopetegui will keep them up, think Forest will do well to stay up
So, Southampton sack Hassenhutl, and go after Nathan Jones as their main target. Don't see how that's any Improvement, really.
Very strange appointment so managers just seem suited to certain clubs and Jones fits Luton.
Clear pen. Anywhere else on the pitch and it would be given as a foul.I really don't understand how VAR didn't give the pen for the push from Alexander-Arnold.

they are notLikewise though they have started to gel recently. Leicester as expected have recovered from the terrible start. If Everton really are in for Gyo in January it'll be very interesting to see how he gets on and what impact he makes. They could certainly use someone in his mould
Been learning with my lad about managing expectations. A foul is not a foul anywhere on the pitch. Different decisions are correct depending on where the incident happensClear pen. Anywhere else on the pitch and it would be given as a foul.
It was a foul and just because it was in the box and it would have resulted in a penalty, it doesn't mean you shouldn't give it.
where does it say that in the laws? the laws of the game when setting up what is a foul don't specify different areas of the pitch and their effect on if it is a foul. This is what causes confusionBeen learning with my lad about managing expectations. A foul is not a foul anywhere on the pitch. Different decisions are correct depending on where the incident happens
On that decision though it was a penalty. Mad var chose not to give it
It’s why their laws rather than rules. And a lot is subjective and it doesn’t but if you attend monthly referees association meetings you’d get to understand a little of this subjectivitywhere does it say that in the laws? the laws of the game when setting up what is a foul don't specify different areas of the pitch and their effect on if it is a foul. Same with u12 games it appears a yellow card is never appropriate even for a deliberate handball stopping a person running in on goal!!It’s why their laws rather than rules. And a lot is subjective and it doesn’t but if you attend monthly referees association meetings you’d get to understand a little of this subjectivity
Same with u12 games it appears a yellow card is never appropriate even for a deliberate handball stopping a person running in on goal!!
And I quote
That is the worst decision I’ve ever seen in an u12 game lol
nonsense the laws are pretty gertrude stein i.e. a foul is a foul is a foulIt’s why their laws rather than rules. And a lot is subjective and it doesn’t but if you attend monthly referees association meetings you’d get to understand a little of this subjectivity
Fair enough that’s not the casenonsense the laws are pretty gertrude stein i.e. a foul is a foul is a foul
the only subjectivity should be does the ref think it is a foul and that should be the same all over the pitch
It’s different at different levels tononsense the laws are pretty gertrude stein i.e. a foul is a foul is a foul
the only subjectivity should be does the ref think it is a foul and that should be the same all over the pitch
it shouldn't though, the don't book players early is nonsense as wellIt’s different at different levels to
It’s also different at different times of the game too
And ….. it’s different dependent on the personality of the ref
And that’s before getting on to confidence and competency of the ref lol
It’s about managing the game and it actually makes perfect senseit shouldn't though, the don't book players early is nonsense as well
If that's the case it shouldn't be. It should be classified as the same infringement regardless of where or when it occurs. It’s why their laws rather than rules. And a lot is subjective and it doesn’t but if you attend monthly referees association meetings you’d get to understand a little of this subjectivity
Ok why do you think it’s notIf that's the case it shouldn't be. It should be classified as the same infringement regardless of where or when it occurs.
Unless I misunderstood you, you said that the offences can be treated differently depending on where they occur and even when. This shouldn't be the case.Ok why do you think it’s not
I’ve not reffed for 30 years or so I’m just attending the associations training sessions with my lad.Unless I misunderstood you, you said that the offences can be treated differently depending on where they occur and even when. This shouldn't be the case.
Disappointing from Toney, should be hitting that with more conviction.
There you go
Of course I left Toney out of the fantasy side today
