I'm watching Norwich game. Seen them on the TV a few times. Tonight is the best I've seen them play. They are all over Watford, who are playing crap, with maddison, the Murphy brothers and parachute money they must be favourite s to bounce back up.

Can't take it away from Sam can you.
Oh if Richardson could have only sensed what we could and acted on it things just could have ended so differently.

Don't want to mention the 'b' word, but maybe someone should have a look at the Everton goalkeeper's bank account in the morning.

Bird!!
Bird is the word!
I recall playing the Toffees to stay up on a Sunday morning in 84 or 85, two international Scottish strikers light.
Maybe B is for Bonus.

Glad the Geordie's have gone down, biggest bunch of deluded fans you could ever come across.

The Geordie Goon Army get what they deserve. Hounded Pardew out and constantly moan about the amount of investment (which is huge in reality). They're never happy and reap what they sow.

Predictably there's already people having a go at Maddison about his PL move. If anything this is good news for Arma, Maddison and Murphy. Greatly increases the chance of them being in or around first team football next season.

Really? what are they saying?

I don't get that. Fair enough point out his diving or falling over etc, but don't shout at the lad because of the move. I don't think many people would turn it down.

Things like that result rarely happen by accident ...

Could be good news in a way. As short term loans are banned from next season if they were in the Prem they'd loan him out to the Championship and if/when he wasn't quite ready he'd be stuck there for a long period. With them in the Championship he'll stay with them initially and if/when he's struggling they'll be able to send him somewhere.

I think the team that will cope with the relegation best is Norwich. Financially they run a tighter ship and have (with respect) players better suited to the Championship

Whereas Villa & Newcastle will be bleeding money on players that seem to me not to have the fight needed but huge financial expectations

Not going to be easy or a given that any of them will come straight back up

Its beyond me why it isn't standard for player contracts to have relegation clauses. If the club goes down your salary goes down but you are free to leave.

All clubs should be doing that and remove the need for parachute payments.

Indeed, it's arguable that there are plenty of clubs in the Championship who are bigger (in fanbase and historical terms) than many Premier League teams. It'll be a real battle there next season, such a shame we're not in it, would have done wonders for our budget with loads of big away followings (and hopefully good home ones too).

The gap between the Prem and Championship is getter smaller by the year

But with the huge injection of cash for prem teams, will this change?? I think Burnley will struggle majorly next year, Middlesbrough will make a fist of it but will stay up (just) and I think the only one that would survive out of the playoffs would be Brighton. Teams still up like Baggies may struggle.

I partially agree. The gap between the bottom half of the Prem and the top half of the Championship is getting smailer. But only because so many of those teams have recently switched places. In general though, the gap between the rich clubs and the poor clubs is getting larger every season.
