That's because they have set up an arrangement with the Coventry Schools foundation. They offer reduced ticket prices to games.
You seem to be ignoring a central point here which is the cobentry city of rugby initiative which pretty much gives free access to schools etc. to wasps.
It's also pretty obvious that wasps will be developing a strategy at building a customer base while the football club will focus on customer retention.
Wasps have a dilemma - they actually know that all the free flags, all the turning up at some field in Bedworth will make no difference if the football club was successful as ultimately football will for the majority always be the sport of choice.
It's worrying for CCFC also as it means that they will not want the club to be a success and while a tenant at the Ricoh will do everything in their power to limit us to where we are.
I suppose it could just be that as the football club is more establish and has more data available to them their approach is more targeted. Or it could just be that their marketing isn't up to much!
Maybe the trust or SCG could look into doing something for the old folks, its a great idea and if its not already done would be worth doing. Maybe trial it at a couple of games, legends day and whatever is closest to fathers day would seem a good bet and gives time to organise.
Sure the club would stump up some free tickets and Harry Shaw might sponsor it by providing transport at cost.
