We had some luck in the last couple of years getting big teams in the cup. I also think that SISU will be back at the Ricoh before any rats come running back anyway. The game is up for SISU -the judge, the mp, the Guardian, the thousands of fans - it is only a matter of time. Any news on the stadium? Tide is against them. Let's see what happens about the appeal and possibly the appeal of the appeal. It has to end somewhere. Ricoh by the end of the coming season. Sixfields adieu. Pity though, I got the car hand washed there. Another great pro for Sixfields.

What is this comment all about I see you posting it quite a lot?

I personally did not go to Arsenal. To be clear.

I am guessing that if you go to an away match in the cup the club get more money than league away matches? Thus are you suggesting that people who don't go to Northampton should not go to the Emirates?

What if they don't go to Northampton because it is wrong and they don't believe that Cov had no choice and were 'forced there' that going there somehow brings a level of legitimacy to the original decision and that not going is the best way they can protest about it?

How many people on here do you keep having a pop at that do not go to Northampton due to NOPM, then went Emirates?

I assume how often you mention it there must be loads?

Of course a Sixfields cup game v, say Man U would sell out but it won't be with supporters who are boycotting. It will be with Northampton locals, Man U fans, the 1400 superfans, and the rest made up of people who aren't really City fans and just attend one-off matches (eg Crewe in JPT).

So I really don't get your point. Could you explain?

Yes it gets more like GMK every day that is why I rarely post on here any more shame used to be a good site.
Anyone who says shitfields or has a go against the shitfielders is attacked, but those that are trying to fight our caring owners are classed as ignorant, stupid and Neanderthal types.

Is it really attacking though? You say "anybody who has a go at people who go to Sixfields" so surely that is defending themselves rather than attacking?

Who is classed as ignorant?

What do you mean like GMK? That people disagree?

Who is actually being attacked? Nobody is being attacked, it is just they disagree. If you want attacked, have a look at the imaginary offer thread from KCIC and what happened when people asked genuine questions, they got hammered!

People come on here (Like Spionkop) and absolutely hammer anybody who goes to Sixfields, yet as soon as anybody says anything back he cries like a bitch that he is being abused. It isn't abuse, it is called disagreeing and it is allowed.

Hardly, what I am saying is that there are people on here (Spoinkop the other day) who said that putting money in SISU's pockets is supporting them, the Arsenal game put money in their pockets but that seems to be ok. (I am also not saying it was all people by the way). It is just the double standards of some people. (Not all)

I have never said anybody is less or more of a fan than anybody else either? I have also never accused anybody of killing the club etc etc.

Of course people won't go because they think it is wrong and I respect that. People won't go because they can't get there or just don't want to go to games there as they don't want to as it isn't Coventry.

The other day as an example Spionkop said something along the lines of anybody giving SISU money is supporting them, yet I "think" he was at the Arsenal game as one.

Did you notice that the whole NOPM seemed to die a death around the Arsenal game? Just before that it was all people went on about, then it slowly died out (again, some people have stuck to it and fair play and others didn't have NOPM they just didn't want to go to Northampton).

I find it hard to believe that if we got Man Utd at Sixfields it would only be locals turning up and the usual Sixfields fans either (In reply to the other post)

Yes. They were asked to retract that SISU "simply stopped paying the rent". The judge said that SISU unlawfully stopped paying the rent. Apology from SISU to Guardian? Err...no.

My god this thread is a horrible mess of ignorance, bad analogies, and hyperbole.

Nicks one of the GMK "I'm too cool for school" gang now. I wouldn't worry, I bet he gets a letter jacket and everything. Maybe Edgy will take him to the prom.

You know how cool he is because he "cringes" at how uncouth and uncool you are. Like a 13 year old being picked up by his mum.

Anything he doesn't like is deemed "immature" (that favourite catchphrase of 14 year olds everywhere).

You see, passion is for babies. He's so cynical and suave and never wants or likes anything, because that's not cool.

You better not put forward a definite opinion, or engage in optimism because there's literally nothing worse than having an opinion. Everything is "just a question" and nothing can ever be challenged because "I didn't think that anyway". He's just too cool for opinions.

Not like those stupid CCFC fans (not him and his mates, the other ones). Fucking idiots. Ashamed he even has to support the same team. Much rather have a cosmopolitan fanbase like Arsenal or Chelsea.

(And yes, I thought I'd join in)

To be fair my post regarding pros was a bad analogy. I forgot to put Rob and Sky Blue Tony on the list.

Tony would like it in sixfields actually - the phone signal is not very good.

The thing is, some people are too stupid to know what is a genuine question and call it abuse.
Some people are too stupid to understand that almost all on here are anti-Sisu - and, yes, that includes Nick & Grendel.
Some people are too stupid to realise that everyone on here is a genuine Coventry City fan and all want them to play in Coventry.
Some people are too stupid to realise that Sisu are not at sixfields because it benefits them financially therefore not even an empty stadium would change anything.
Some people are too stupid to realise everyone is entitled to make there own choice and to abuse them for doing so is nothing short of childish bullying.
Some people are too stupid that they don't realise that they are responsible for helping to ruin this site by doing the things they accuse others of doing.

There is passion and there is making up silly names that is immature and cringeworthy. I am more than happy with people having different opinions, I don't need to give it billy big bollocks about my solicitor when people disagree with me like some heroes on here.

Opinions are fine, that it is what it is about. I suggest you tell people that when people have a different opinion it isn't abuse.

To be honest, grown men having a serious conversation and saying things like "suxfields" does remind me a bit of when my mum texts saying LOL or something equally as bad!

Anyway the point of the thread.
The only logical advantage of Sixfields (if ACL can survive, like it seems they can) is as a negotiating tool.

If you are using it as a negotiating tool.

You need to negotiate at you strongest point. We have missed that.

So now we need to negotiate at the second strongest time.

Which is now!!!

You just don't seem willing to grasp the fact that Arsenal FC would have sold those tickets, regardless, whether Coventry City fans purchased them or not, sisu would have still benefitted. Why do you keep regurgitating such obvious mis truths?
Is it because, to your thinking, it suits your argument, which is obviously from a pro sisu slant. Think about it mate, the majority of us true Coventry City fans are not as ignorant as you and the handful of other strangely deluded posters on here would have us believe. As I said, have a think about it, and you might just realise you are defending the indefensible, sisu are destroying our football club, about that there is no doubt.

I am not defending anybody? Why is it if you disagree with one thing you are defending another?

Ahh so if Arsenal would have sold them anybody it is fine we will just fight over giving SISU our money ourselves. There is no mis truth, the money that some people gave at Arsenal went to SISU. What about that is a mis truth? Somebody said the other day that anybody giving SISU money is supporting them, is it a mis truth that people who went to Arsenal gave money which went to SISU? Where is this mis truth?

What is being pro sisu about that? It is just me stating FACTS.

I know not everybody is refusing to give money, they just refuse to go to Northampton to watch CCFC which is totally understandable which is totally different (Unless Arsenal was a "home" game at Sixfields I guess)

Sisu are not stupid; (despite doing very stupid things from time time) they'd have expected the exact reaction they got, it wasn't difficult to predict they'd be absolute uproar and mass protests at picking the club up and moving it 35 miles away. People make the mistake of thinking Sisu give a fuck what anybody thinks. They virtually give the very few tickets away they do sell at Sixfields most the time, it was about 6 quid for adults a lot of games last season. They're not bothered by losing money in the short term which is why I won't boycott, it's pointless.

I'm not sure they did think they'd break ACL in one season, there's a reason they asked the League for 5 years at Sixfields. Sadly, I've seen or heard nothing from Sisu to suggest they are not here for the long term.
