Basic?COmmon B??? Oriented Language... not boolean. Used to be a COBOL programmer; not much boolean manipulation in there I'm afraid.
B - binary?
Spock, I'm a network builder, not a programmer, Now, if you'd asked me about Fortran or PASCAL, I'd still have no idea but it'd make me sound intelligent
B = Business as a total guess
The u shaped river is that an oxbow lake?
Nope
YES
Fortran is formula translation isn't it? Used to program in that too. Never done Pascal, but assumed it was named after the mathematician.
My favourite tech acronyms are the recursive ones like: WINE, cURL, PIP and PHP.
Don't know any of those, although I've heard of PHP. I guess these are newer languages as recursion was a no-no when I were a lad.
WINE: WINE Is Not an Emulator (allows Windows programs to run on Linux)
cURL: cURL URL Request Library (Linux command for downloading from URLs basically)
PIP: PIP Installs Packages (python package manager)
PHP: PHP: Hypertext Processor
Recursion shouldn’t be a no no, key tool in programming, the classic example being calculating factorials.
Of course as they say: to understand recursion, first you have to understand recursion.
17: Larkin?
(literally the only Cov poet I know)
21 - clue I guess either Mud or Shadowaddywaddy? I'll go Shadowaddywaddy.
Excellent quiz btw but way too hard for me. Got JFK and Sol (the Sun) but that was about it.
10 ... Mandalay.
Get in!
FFS I've not even heard of some of the answers!
8, 9, 16, 19, 20 & 25!!!!
