I remember there being talk about him going, but I thought that's all it was. It's going to be tough finding a replacement for Stoke. It's really tough for managers to get the time to develop at a really high level before they get kicked now.

Just look at their results or the second half of the season. Even Villa performed better than Stoke did. And I think they scored very few goals too.

Think he's done well with what he has had to work with. Some of his signings worried me towards the end though. Owen being the main one.
