All those fans who left just before the final whistle or at the end of the 90 mins ...... they were aware there was penalties after weren't they?

Expected the odd old codger to leave, but quite a few fans did decide to go which very much surprised me.

Penalties are exciting to watch anyway and it was the best bit of the whole evening, so I was a bit taken aback by those streaming out.

Did they not do their homework and thought there was going to be a replay or something?

They must have, a lot of people did go to move seats though rather than going home.

I was about to leave, I knew it was penalties but couldn't give a shit about this game and quite frankly it was embarrassing.

But, I stayed and er.... yeah. It was still bollocks.

I spent 90 mins annoyed that I had been robbed of £5 to watch that crap. If I hadn't of stayed and watched the penalties I would have been banging on the ticket office door asking for a refund.

In Blocks 14 and 15 they did, but I was in 20 and I saw people go down the steps to the malls and towards the exits. Could be some just went to the toilet and came back of course, but I was watching a few people and they were certainly saying their cheerios to people around them (pats on the back, handshakes, that sort of thing).

Definitely looked to me that people in Blocks 19/20/21 left at 90 mins.

Perhaps they wanted to beat the rush and the traffic jams

Interesting.

Could understand avoiding another 30 mins, but pens? That did surprise me.

It was so uninspiring Otis and I dragged my two brothers along for some quality family time after our Mothers passing ,but i think whatever the circumstances we would have left tonight at that point .I reckon they could all wear the same kit on sunday ,there was so little effort put in,I could get sluaghtered on here for this ,but that chance Burton had right at the death ,I was ironically cheering as I thought it was going in .Only positive tonight was second half McGoldrick ,showed some pace and great touches of skill.
