Questions for the SCG (2 Viewers)

I think it was suggested that we could have a Q & A session on here with the SCG but nothing came of it so I thought we could have a thread of questions anyway, I'm sure someone from the SCG must at least look in on here occasionally so I got thinking we could have a thread anyway. Post a question or questions and let's see if anyone takes note. Sensible questions only please, nothing personal and all on the topic of the club. Perhaps admin would be kind enough to pin this thread and clean up any slanging matches and stupid questions to keep the thread sensible.

I'll get the ball rolling.

Is there going to be a new kit for next season and if yes when can we expect it to be available?

Is there going to be finance packages available for season tickets next year?

Could the club do something to promote the club to the next generation of fans? May I suggest a flat rate for under 18's off £5 for all home games. If only as a trial for one season.

Could we have a mobile shop at the ground at match days? Something along the lines that many fans witnessed at Peterborough?

Good questions.

Another one is

Is the club considering closing off any sections of the stadium for next season?

If so,

When are you going to tell us?

What happens to existing ST holders, will they get a chance to move seats before they become available to all supporters?

What prority will PSL holders have if requested to move?

When are the REDUCED prices for next years ST being announced? NOTE - Any thoughts on keeping the same or increasing prices will lead to further reduction of future ST holders.

When are the club going to engage with the fans?

Plenty more to come but I would like to see the ones posed so far answered.

You can send questions for the SCG by going onto the CCFC website or else contact ashbyJan on here and he will try and get the questions answered for you at next Meeting.
At the Febuary SCG meeting the club did say they were getting together to discuss Season Tickets, I will try and mention this at next meeting.

Under 12's with a paying adult need to be free. That needs to include walk ups.

No issue, just don't think it's a question for the SCG, at the end of the day they are just a group of representatives made up of different supporters groups who come together (supposedly) to discuss with the club the matchday experience - The Trust, London Supporters Club etc. They will all have their own view and view from their supporters group. If the SCG said no to your question is that going to stop Jan (as a member of the group) or the Trust for example in supporting such a takeover.

Personally, I think we should leave the SCG as a group 'A Political' and just fulfil the job it's supposed to do rather than asking them a divisive question - do we really need to give sisu another excuse not to take to another fan group? I just think that question is beyond the remit of the SCG, and more inline with the individual trust/supporters groups.

We all would all welcome an owner like you suggest with open arms

Why do we need to do what other clubs do ?
We are on the ropes with kids not coming to watch their local football team with a lot I guess going to Wasps instead for exactly that reason.
A lost generation if we are not careful. CCFC matches are almost a kids free zone at the moment.

It's down to the parents, sign them up as a jsb.

Is there going to be finance packages available for season tickets next year? There was supposed to be a meeting to discuss season ticket pricing, finance etc the week afer the SCG but no news has emerged as yet but it is imminent

There was a mobile shop at Sixfields but Tynan Scope informed the meeting that they did not have the manpower or resources to bring stock and man a substantial retail presence hence the table top.

You can get them until the end of the season for cheaper, it doesn't have to be a season ticket holder, just an adult with a ticket.

Why not just use the jsb area / family stand?

You can walk up with a jsb, just show their card.

If people are bothered so much about losing kids as fans then 25 a year with great kids parties and activities and free matches for every game isn't bad is it?

Seems like you are going on about it because of wasps without knowing what's actually happening already.

The one thing is say as with everything is how crap the marketing of it is.

Until the end of season is not mentioned.
You need to go up the shop to sort it out before you go to the match.

If I want to take my grandkids up just for a taster it will cost me a small fortune.
It can't be sorted on a match day so it's another trip to Gallagher park, particularly inconvenient if you live outside the area.

Still like the idea of targeting one stand for kids and preventing transfers into premium areas of lots of kids.
Had 3 behind me in block 20 in absent season ticket holder seats who were obviously board out their brains and seat kicking and messing around.

I am sorry but I am not sure I believe him, I would imagine if their jobs were on the line some of the people like him behind the scenes may suddenly start making a proper effort rather than hiding over in the posh seats where very few of the fans are.

Kids are going to watch wasps instead of us is because wasps have been throwing free tickets at schools and clubs like confetti. If a free kid with an adult ticket was such a big seller than we will would have had 15k+ at the kids for a £1 game against fleetwood and another 15k+ next Saturday (probably more given is the school holidays).

Ticket prices with a JSB membership are cheap enough, I've got a ST for my kids in the premium seats for under £4 per game. Don't forget we didn't have early bird prices this year. They'd have been eligible for a free season ticket had i chosen to sit in the family stand.

We don't have to copy what other teams do, but with limited access to revenues, ticket revenue is our biggest earner. Reducing tickets doesn't Guarantee more people through the door, and is more likely going to result in a decrease in the playing budget to pay for it.

And yes, I do think prices are too expensive for league one.

I would also say that if the club brought in those prices (free under 12's, £5 under 18's then the club would have to police it quite stringently to make sure people aren't taking the piss.

To be fair, you can't really argue with awkwardness can you? If you want a taster, take them to colchester next week for a quid??

I've seen the posts on the website about the half season offers for jsbs , my point agreed that the marketing side was crap but the actual offer is decent.

As long as three jsb is next to an adult ticket, it is fine.

I agree, what is needed is a family stand where all the families, kids, schools and sports clubs sit. It could be called the family zone, they could maybe paint the concourse different with something like a kids football pitch in there too?

If they are JSB members and you add them to your friends and family, you can order the tickets online, as their JSB membership will be linked to their supporter number.

I disagree about having one stand for just kids and preventing them to sit in the premium seats. That will stop families who want to sit in the middle for the view from taking their kids, it would be as much of a barrier than the price.

The club tweeted a couple of days ago that people should check their contact details are up to date and their communication preferences allow the club to send them marketing info as they will be sending out details on season tickets and new kit in the next couple of weeks.

I got the feeling that they are doing everything on a thin and scabby shoestring. Stuff is being transported to the Ricoh in staff's cars on matchday and they seem to be unable to even fork out for a rental van. It was mentioned (and this has been mentioned several times before to club) that if they are short of manpower they should ask the fans. The Trust has said it could ask its members among who there are sure to be some who would volunteer to help out on match days, provide a van etc but for some reason the club always seems reluctant to do this.

Who would send there U12 to a Cov match by themselves? If you buy a JSB season ticket for free then obviously whoever takes them to the matches will have an adult season ticket.

If you don't have a season ticket then a singular U12 JSB ticket is free with I'm assuming a paying singular adult ticket

Whilst we're talking about JSB, how easy would it be to have 4 or 5 groups of people dotted around the concourse during matches trying to get more U16s signed up as a JSB. I also think £20 is steep, £10 would be better.

I'd imagine the uptake on JSB memberships to the number of U16s who attend is low.
