But not for longGuaranteed European football, probably CL next season
And thats just to understand GerrardHe would have to learn a completely new language.
And thats just to understand Gerrard
And there endeth your knowledge of footballFor me Hamer is overrated. He gives the ball away far too much. If the money is right, move him on,
nonsense, he's been the player of the season so far ...PUSB
For me Hamer is overrated. He gives the ball away far too much. If the money is right, move him on,
There is a point where the additional benefit of Hamers' extra quality is bettered by having more of other players paid for by the transfer fee earned by selling him. If £1m bought Walker and £1.5 bought Hamer in the first place, clearly even £3m gets you two or even three quality players. And makes you less reliant on one man.
Doubling our money in only 12 months, by any measure, would be good business normally. However in a competitive market we have look for more than that. Who knows how to value footballer, least of all us lot, but £5m must be the starting point.
There is no point selling him in January, assuming we get a bid, unless Covid is really clobbering us. His value can only rise, and a sale now jeopardizes the fight against relegation, so would be shooting ourselves in the foot.
In short - max on the cash in summer - particularly the up front money - fill the gaps for next season - left wing back, central defence cover, attacking midfield.
Maybe even flog Godden and put that money down as a contribution towards getting an upper-Championship level striker.
Would like to believe that.He isnt going anywhere. Relax, would take a ridiculous offer.

We're going to have a load of these threads about him. As long as they start with '£30m rated Hamer going nowhere' that's fine by me.No Rangers interest in £1.35m Coventry City midfielder
Rangers have no interest in Coventry midfielder Gustavo Hamer, according to an Ibrox source.www.scotsman.com
No interest according to the jocks
No not a joke, just an observation based on watching every game this season to date,
2 bags of crisps and a new handbag for Joy?He isnt going anywhere. Relax, would take a ridiculous offer.
Pretty much word for word what I was going to post, saves me a jobWe'd be mad to sell him for anything less than £5m. Already come to terms with the fact he's only going to be here for one season though.
Would like to believe that.
But it's not how we work.
Pretty much word for word what I was going to post, saves me a job
I guess the clue is in the name Dub !!anyone but them filth
Norwich are more of an undisclosed transfer deadline day option. I can hear Jim White already and it sends a shudderNorwich are looking apparently.
Norwich are looking apparently.
If we’ve got other things lined up, which I’m sure we will have as Robins says there is always things ready to go based on whatever situation we are in, then take the money and improve the squad.
If not, don’t. Not bothered either way really. Unless he goes and we do no other business.
