Allsop - 6. Didn't really have much to do, the finish from their striker was a decent one.

I thought Barton and Haynes were our best players today, both get a 6 from me.

i cant do it,

mainly because i was so dissapointed with pretty much everyone

I didn't even realise Finch was playing till the 65th min when he got in the way of 1 of his own team mates

Madine 5 should have scored and won a penalty. Has he played or is he getting fitness back?

Swanson looked good

Pressley aarrghhh. We are on top for 20 mins at start of second half but instead of taking Barton finch or most likely job off for Maddison and playing him behind front 2 he takes off a right back for a right midfielder and moves the rm to rb after we go unfortunately one down.

We weren't bad today.

Allsop 6 - could do nothing about the goal. Did some flapping but also claimed a few crosses looking more confident
Willis 4 - hard to give him a mark, did ok, but gave the ball away a fee times. Went off injured
Martin 6 - our best defender today. Calm when under pressure
Webster 4 - did ok, but mistake led to the goal.
Haynes 6 - worked extremely hard down the left. Did some good work defensively, going forward the final ball was poor or chose the wrong option
Fleck 3 - poor today. Final ball and decision making was poor. Constantly gave the ball away.
Finch 4 - worked hard, but needs a rest. Looked better in the second half when he pushed up. decent effort just over the bar.
Barton 5 - kept the ball ticking over. Had a decent shot. Wasn't bad but wasn't great
JOB 3 - worked hard but final ball was atrocious - third game running his delivery has been poor.
Nouble 4 - looked disinterested to me: hardly in the game. Not helped by lack of service but didn't seem to try to get involved.
Madine 5.5 - worked very hard, always showed for the ball, held it up and brought others into play at time, especially in the first half. Better on the ball than I'd imagined. Missed a decent chance and should have had a pen.

Subs

Phillips 5 - did ok. Better option as right back than Willis
Swanson 3 - didn't do a lot

1 criticism for Pressley is the lack of balls with his subs. Fleck and o'brien (and nouble) were playing poorly, taking Phillips off was the easier option. Not sure why he didn't also throw mcqoid on in the closing minutes.

Whilst I admit we were shocking today, no team could play anything on that pitch. Its a disgrace. Today should have been 0-0. Notts County were easily as bad as us... But again mainly down to the pitch. Barton is not the answer. Offers nothing. I actually thought Finch did better than him. At least you can see what type of player he is. Still dont know what Barton offers after 3 years here. Madine and Haynes were the only two who made any positive contribution today.

Would love to be watching the same game, we were beyond terrible. If Notts had their full strength team, we'd have been murdered by the 20th min.

All should get a 1 and that's only for turning up apart from possibly Haynes who at least looked like he wanted the ball, instead of hiding for 90mins.

Allsop 6 Good performance for him but still not good enough kicking is awful you can tell who the goalie coach is
Willis 4 Not his best performance
Martin 3 Dreadful can't head it and and cannot kick it
Webster 4 Put him out of his misery and send him back to Scotland a walking mistake
Haynes 5 ok but no better than that
Fleck 4 in the wrong position
Finch 2 Offers nothing it is too soon for him but I think it will always be too soon.
Barton 3 Just for once try passing it forwards must have the best passing stats but all backwards and sideways
O'Brien 3 Runs around a lot and waves his arms a lot
Madine 5 had little to work with
Nouble 5 having to survive on scraps

Phillips 5 Should never have been taken off has a lot of potential

O'Brien is awful out wide. No pace, horrendous crossing, and you lose that work rate from in the centre.

We miss Carl Baker.

O'Brien is a winger though, it's where he's played everywhere else before he came here.

That seems rather strange though, as he has no pace and his crossing isn't great.

Seems to play better for us when not on the wing.

Allsopp - 6 no chance with goal but kicking still not good competetn otherwise
Willis - 4 Not on that long withdrawn injured
Webster 5 - decidedly mediocre distibution not good today
Martin 5.5 - Ok
Haynes 6 - At least tried to drive at players and make things happen - final ball poor mostly though
job 4 - Another shocker seemed off the pace today maybe recent events weighing him down?
Finch 4 - Largely innocuous good to see him getting games but needs a rest
Fleck 4 - Also poor by his standards and passing way off the radar too
Barton 5 - Best of bad bunch in midfield needs to show some drive and desire to go forwards - Finch and him not the partnership going forward for me
Nouble 5 - Seemed to work a bit harder but still not a good game tbf service he got was awful too though.
madine 5.5 - Worked very hard but for me not always in right areas and never carried a goal threat.

Phillips 5 - Did ok when he came on like Haynes tried to make things happen unlucky to be subbed off again
Swanson 4.5 - Not long to make impact but at least tried to make things happen should be starting somewhere across midfield imo next week.

Pressley - 4 Use of subs dreadful and should have made all three subs and the last two a lot earlier cop out to sub Phillips off after coming on too!

Overall 5 - Pretty awful to be honest we look a very bad league one side at moment if we do not improve from this display we will be relegated.

Think the stick Finch is coming in for is a bit over the top, he was our best out of the midfield four on the day - not saying a huge amount, mind. I thought Haynes was easily our best player and Madine looked threatening in spells. Aaron Martin was also pretty solid, so a bit mystified as to his poor ratings.

If we persist with the system then we are absolutely crying out for some width. It's a shame Pugh is out at the minute as I think pushing Haynes onto the wing would be a good option.

Hopefully I don't sound too positive, because it was absolutely wank aside from the above..

Martin 5 - won everything in the air - but is ability with the ball is appalling, lost count how many times he miskicked it off the pitch
Haynes 7 - motm
JOB - 5 yes he tries more than the others but his quality on the ball was woeful yesterday
Barton 6 - ok but the balance in midfield is all wrong
Finch 5 - his best game so far and was having his best ten mins just before they scored
Fleck 6 - wasted out wide, either needs to play the barton role and play him behind a front man
Madine 6 had no service
Nouble 6 had no service

Phillips 6 - the fact he got subbed off showed Pressley bottled taking off O'Brien
