Wilson though stayed rooted to his line for two throw-ins into our 6 yard box. Surely he should be coming for those shouldn't he?
I need to rewatch the highlights. Seems several players were at fault for the goal
If they are good enough yes. Shouldn’t get a free pass just because they are academy players like so many have in the past.Eccles and Burroughs need to be starting, let's develop our own.
There's nothing better than seeing Cov lad's come through the academy and make the first team, oh and this isn't sentiment they are both better talents than the two on loan.
Eccles is miles ahead of Norton-Cuffy.If they are good enough yes. Shouldn’t get a free pass just because they are academy players like so many have in the past.
He completed 6 full matches in his time at Rotherham so effectively he’s a substitute. He wasn't, he started 14 games out of 20 for them.
Against Burnley he was fucked after 60 minutes. If you re watch the Burnley game be was one of our best players on the day. That was when he played ahead of Dabo at RB. Since we have gone back to 3 at the back and asked him to play wing back he looks lost and not sure when to attack and defend. Seen enough to think he will be a good option even if that's off the bench but someone needs to drill some positional sense into him so he takes up offensive and defensive positions that effect the game.
West Brom are a very good side and showed it tonight. We weren't great but not awful either. Panzo could do with coming out the side for McFadzean in my opinion. Also Godden should come back in for Allen and go back to two up front. Decent run of games coming up and a chance to get back on the front foot.

You have to smile really. Yok, who was terrible tonight, gets 6, while Allen, who should have had 2 assists tonight as he set Yok up for 2 tap ins, gets 4....
Do you watch over Hamer with the same critical eye? because he was well below standard tonight, so many of his passes went to WBA, or out for throw ins. 7? you must be joking. He may have been the best of the bunch, but a 7 is miles off. One free kick, which was easy for the keeper to clear, can't add that many points on can it?
Send BNC and JWE back TBH. Seen nothing to suggest they’re the answer.
He was head and shoulders above the rest so he gets a comparative 7. He did more to get us ticking than anyone else. He made some bad passes that’s why he’s not higher but he actually tried to make things happen.
I don’t think Vik was terrible tonight. He missed a sitter, which he does a lot. He just wasn’t brilliant.
Allen was poor and being handed the ball in the final third and asked to pass it three yards doesn’t change that TBH.
I rate players over 90 minutes not on their highlight reel.
Allen made the two best chances of the night
McNally and Hamer 7
Everyone else who started 5 except Panzo, 4
Eccles 6
Godden 6
Ghost Maguire 5
Really is a pity that Moore has turned into the goalkeeping version of a cat that pisses on the floor
Well technically speaking Gus and the West Brom defender made the two best chances. Allen made two simple passes.
Regardless, what did he do for the other 95 minutes and 45 seconds?
Someone’s given Wilson a 7 which truly bewilders me. Can only assume they didn’t go. Was all over the place tonight. Not on his own mind. Hard to single out anyone for praise, perhaps Hamer & sheaf. We were really poor against a better side who didn’t have to get out of second gear

First time watching McNally, actually thought it was Rose on the pitch at first and thought shock Rose is playing shite again and then realised he wasn’t on the pitch and it was actually McNally… wasn’t impressed.
He was at fault in the build up to their goal

Been very disappointed with Norton-Cuffy so far.
Wilson rooted to his line, Doyle hopelessly mistiming a jump. He bailed out his colleagues more than once.
I think his decision making to come and catch the ball from throw ins etc disappeared when he fluffed that high ball he came for and missed early on.Wilson though stayed rooted to his line for two throw-ins into our 6 yard box. Surely he should be coming for those shouldn't he?

you are just being irrational - His was involved twice in the first chance and created the second
He was involved in the game more than two others - what did palmer and sheaf do last night
He did not create the second, the WBA player who made a terrible pass made the second.
Palmer continually drew fouls and nearly scored if his shot wasn’t blocked, he also tried to break the lines something Allen never does. Always sideways and backwards which for an AM is criminal. Allen look surprised every time he receives the ball and has the touch of a brick wall. At one point his touch was so bad he took us from the edge of their area to the halfway line chasing the ball.
Sheaf made 7 tackles, more than the back three combined.
Yes I thought McNally was poor. Everyone is over marking him because he was good on his debut.First time watching McNally, actually thought it was Rose on the pitch at first and thought shock Rose is playing shite again and then realised he wasn’t on the pitch and it was actually McNally… wasn’t impressed.

It’s because he’s surrounded by inferior players to the most part - he’s at his best when CoH is on the pitch.Yes I thought McNally was poor. Everyone is over marking him because he was good on hiss debut.
Hamer yet again by far our best player. Gyokeres is the only one who gets near him but he has been poor since Christmas.
Sheaf plays a very short, awkward waist height ball to Allen who fails to keep it under control and loses possession - Allen’s fault.
Allen plays a neat pass to an unchallenged Palmer’s feet, Palmer loses possession with a shit touch - Allen’s fault.

Sheaf was one of the worst players on the pitch again, but largely gets away with it. I'm not a massive fan of Allen, and didn't think he was good either, but he's certainly more favourable to have a go at.
I rate Sheaf much higher than Allen, but yes Sheaf was worse last night. Doesn't change my view that Sheaf is a good Championship player and Allen is not good enough to play consistently at this level.Sheaf was one of the worst players on the pitch again, but largely gets away with it. Issue is some people make their minds up about how players will play before the match. You can predict their markings beforehand. Depending on their view on the Allen/Palmer debate they will mark their favourite higher regardless of how they play.
You're proving my point.Palmer will always have plaudits ahead of Allen as on some occasions the Hollywood through ball works or he scores a notable goal. His career to date shows more than anything the player he actually is and the reality is if o hare was fit Allen would still be starting and palmer wouldn’t
You're proving my point.
How do you give Panzo a 5?Wilson 7
Bidwell 6
McNally 6
Doyle 5
Panzo 5
Cuffy 5
Hamer 6
Sheaf 6
Allen 5
Palmer 5
Vik 5
Not a good evening
