Love the way he passes through the lines , going to be a huge player for us when the front line clickKitching beginning to show why we chased him so hard and spent so much money on him, superb tonight.
He looks much better coming on as a sub than when starting.Simms needs a goal at home to settle him down, he's desperate to score

Yep, close but he was off.Looked several yards off to me
Frustrating really as he had loads of time to check across the line, as Sheaf did to pick the pass.Yep, close but he was off.
Collins 6 - harsh maybe given the clean sheet but his decision making wasn't great
Van Ewijk 7.5 - that's what he can do when he runs to the byline. Some excellent recovery runs too
Thomas 7 - pretty solid again. Some decent headers
Kitching 8 motm - some excellent defending and looks to penetrate with the longer ball. I can see why we spent the money on him now
Bidwell 7.5 - excellent defensively again.
Eccles 6 - lost possession too easily and almost cost us a couple of times
Sheaf 7.5 - such a steady player. Quality. Deserved a goal.
Allen 7 - some excellent running off the ball and decent link play first half. Seemed to tire in the second
Sakamota 7 - most of the creativity came from him. Unfortunately couldn't get on the ball enough
Godden 5 - not entirely his fault but hardly in the game
Wright 7 - mixed bag but decent finish and he has that knack of being in the right place
O'Hare 6.5 - looking sharper and had some good moments
Simms 6 - got himself involved but should have passed when he shot both times
Ayari 4 - not sure what he contributed about from conceding a silly foul and skying a shot. Would have thought Kelly would have been the better option
Latibeudiere 6
That was down to Sheaf delaying the pass a second too longLooked several yards off to me
The ball played should be a lot quicker because when you start to make a run its difficult to check because you lose all momentum, when I played I used to set off a couple of minutes before the ball was played and even Godden would outpace me in a foot raceYep, close but he was off.
I keep saying it but Sheaf drifts out of games, he did it this evening, and when he does is when we come under pressure.
If he could be consistent he'd be heading to the prem.
There's been a lot of criticism of Robins' summer recruitments, but looking at it now....
Thomas is looking good, Kitching is looking very good, Collins is looking decent and MVE and Sakamoto are looking promising.
SImms seems to be getting better and Wright IS scoring.
Not looking so bad now is it.
Yeah, fair enough, but they certainly aren't all looking like dreadful signings now for sure. We’ve beaten a couple of pretty poor teams at this level. Three of the next four will be more a yardstick of how effective they are against the better teams in tbf league

Beating the rubbish teams is more than we were doing a few weeks ago so I'll take it atm. We’ve beaten a couple of pretty poor teams at this level. Three of the next four will be more a yardstick of how effective they are against the better teams in tbf league
You sound surprisedCouldn’t make the game but CET ratings seem bizarre based on what I’ve seen here. Everyone a 6 except Tats who gets 5 and 7 for Wright
I havent watched it back but I remember thinking at the time that Sheaf was almost looking to see where Wright was running before playing it. There just isn't that wavelength between the midfield and strikers yet. I guarantee that last season Sheaf plays that pass a second earlier knowing where Gyok would be running before hes started the run.Frustrating really as he had loads of time to check across the line, as Sheaf did to pick the pass.
Sheaf was superb..but this is the part of his game he can improve..he delayed and delayed the pass should have pulled trigger earlier. Hamer woukd have slide ruled that pass a second earlier.Yep, close but he was off.
Top strikers “bend” their runs to get that split advantage whilst staying onside that split second longer. Gyok was good at that IIRC.I havent watched it back but I remember thinking at the time that Sheaf was almost looking to see where Wright was running before playing it. No, to sit in with O'Hare on the right. You wanted Kelly on at RW??
Oggy blamed the pass for being delayed.Frustrating really as he had loads of time to check across the line, as Sheaf did to pick the pass.
One of those where with more time on the pitch you’d hope Sheaf just plays it automaticallyOggy blamed the pass for being delayed.
Some of Allen’s runs from deep were excellent, managed to get through untracked two or three times first half. Like Wright, once we’ve got a midfield that can consistently pick those runs out we’ll be laughing. I think Simms will do better than Godden in that style. Wright, Simms, Allen, Saka and MvE breaking is some decent pace and skill.
